Many years ago, Blaise Pascal called man a reed capable of thinking. Bearing in mind the fragility and fluidity of human life, man's loneliness before the universe, fear of death, and defenselessness before love.
Paraphrasing the French thinker, we can say that a person is a reed pipe near the mouth of God, on which He plays his lullabies. That is why each of the five movements of this work is a kind of lullaby - from the Little Mermaid's lullaby (in the first movement), through the lullaby to Self and Beloved (in the second and third) - to the lullaby of Death, which destroys, leaving no hope of salvation (in the fourth movement), and the lullaby Death, which renews and heals, opening the door to a new, enlightened dimension (in the fifth movement).
The dramaturgical unification of the cycle is facilitated by the system of leitimages, which are transformed throughout the work. In particular, these are the Lullaby and Resurrection leitmotifs, the Calling leitmotif, as well as the Heartbeat and Breathing leitmotifs.
All movements of the cantata are performed without a break, attacca.

I based my track around a recent field recording from a bus stop. You hear people talking in different languages, birds, traffic… a typical midday inner city drone. To this I added several Synth tracks, filters and effects.
