HALF is a new venture combining long-forgotten music and contemporary art within one vinyl record. Half of the record, side A, serves as a sound storage medium, while the other half, side B, displays an artwork, etched into the material, especially designed by a chosen artist to accompany the music with.

For the first edition we went back in time to 1996, where the pioneering group Da Sintezatoros! were among the first to introduce experimental techno to the scene in independent Ukraine. For HALF01 we selected three tracks off their release 'More Realistic Then' together with Da Sintezatoros! founder Karim Naser.

The task to create an artwork that matches the vibe of the music has been assigned to Alicia Carrera, widely known for her masterfully crafted DJ mixes and otherworldly beautiful artworks. For the B-side of HALF01 she created the stunning piece 'Chaos Force'.
