Sometimes the feelings infused within Near are felt from afar, sometimes the energy contained within Far is felt close by.

Introducing Story of Rinzen: Chapter 3. The third edition in my mixtape series.

I’m a true believer in the art of the mixtape. In taking the time to truly craft a story with a mix. In this case, I really did take my time to put this together (nearly 2 years). 

But it’s important for me not to rush these; to only release one when I feel I have the right music to say what I want to say.

To create my mixtapes, not only am I sourcing music, but I am also relentlessly sampling different mediums. Everything from films, TV shows, inspirational YouTube monologues, to interviews with my favorite musicians. 

These samples get woven together with the music to create a cinematic, emotional journey from start to finish. The end product is a new Chapter.

Triforce are a live electronic dark techno / progressive psytrance project consisting of producers Charlotte Lohmann & Ryan Smith. Creating music together and experimenting with a variety of genres for 12 years has lead them to form a rich musical bond, resulting in a unique sound that sits between hard/dark techno and psytrance. Deep heaving bass lines combined with rich melody and beautifully orchestrated motifs define their performances played on live synths and an Ableton push.

But just before launch, things got… complicated.

Or at least… that’s the story they want you to believe. 👁️

The truth?
The real reason is simple:
The themes explored in this EP hit a little too close to home.
Too many questions.
Too much truth.
They couldn’t let it out into the world.

But you deserve to know.
