Midsummer Ripples

Written and recorded 18th June 2015

This is a jam that took about 5 hours to write and record, just a couple of days before I set off to work in the US over the summer. As such, it was largely a message to myself to have confidence when faced with a potentially nerve-wracking but exciting prospect. I needn't have worried, as the time I spent in the US was beyond anything I could have hoped for. This song still serves as a reminder to have courage and to make the most of life, despite a natural tendency to hide away and avoid change.

Midsummer light (instr.)

An excellent mix of the song by the magees collective, originally entitled The Rose and the Thorn. The Magees recorded this at the UWS recording studios in May 2012.
Since then Ewan Gibb has mixed elements of the original song, and in the process, has made me look in a completley different way at the track. You have brought something fresh, and unexpected, to this trach Ewan. Its also well worth a listen.

I am not a musician but music plays a very important role in my creative life! I am an artist/designer and music is my companion and my muse in the long hours I spend working in my studio!
