You have to really love electronic music to move out from the sunny Greece to the horrible-weather-all-year-round Berlin. Yup, this is the case with John Dimas, a super talented young greek producer that surprised us in 2012 with his excellent Self Control EP and has continued to amaze us with his debut album on the french imprint La Vie En Rose: Living Lies

So please enjoy these 70 minutes of John Dimas' take on house music, an unusual approach heavily flavoured with tech sounds but warm enough to stay true to his Southern Europe roots.

November 2021 I started a commissioned mix series with people I truly admire. Music has always been a big part of who I am, and it naturally shapes the world I create around the salon. As much as I love hair and the space we’ve built, I also love music — the way it shapes moods, holds space, and shifts how we feel. That’s why I wanted to share it by inviting people from different fields to put together a journey for us — a mix or playlist we can play while working.

What I look for is music that makes you want to listen, let go, move, and dive in. Sounds that can carry you completely, or simply colour the room in the background.

For this edition I once again asked a long-time favourite, Carsten Jost (Dial). The request was simple and open: somewhere between ambient and a personal journey. A mix that builds slowly, shifts, and surprises. Music for the salon during the day, and for those moments when you just want to drift, sway, and lose yourself.

What came back was exactly that.

Appeared recently on international spaces like Studio Stereo, Mad Radio & Macarena club in Barcelona, No Art, Sisyphos Berlin, Shine On You Torino & Tortuga Club Treviso while also being a resident dj at six d.o.g.s club & ADD Festival in Athens where hosted clubnights with his project Useless Co. collaborating with wild brands like Slapfunk, Yoyaku, Fabric, Limousine Dream & a:rpia:r.
