Daniel Lyons’ daily drive was always the love for house music. Ever since he started https://soundcloud.com/lomidhigh-records, back in 2006, it was all about good music. Initially launched as a 10inch label with extremely limited releases, Lomidhigh morphed into no less than 5 labels, each one of them with its own unique sound, sliding from dark, deep and dubby house music (like the OG imprint) to a more lush take on electronic music, like Lomidhigh Organic.

Almost 20 years of constant releases mean one thing: resilience. And passion. Jay Haze, Boola, Agnes, Martinez are just a tiny part of the artists that have contributed to the Lomidhigh collection of records. Framed Realities presents the 30th edition of our podcast series — this time with a deep and hypnotic mix by Nicolas Barnes.

Originally from Riga, Latvia, Nicolas has been making waves in the international electronic music scene with his signature blend of Dub Techno and Minimal. As founder of the ECOUL SND label, he's known for high-quality releases on respected European imprints. 2023 marked an important step in his career with three vinyl releases, further establishing his name beyond the borders of Latvia.

For this episode, Nicolas takes us on a journey through deep grooves, rolling basslines, and atmospheric textures — a smooth blend of Dub Techno and Minimal sounds that perfectly captures the spirit of Framed Realities.
