For our 45th podcast we have TAILORS, releasing a thick EP (Get Together) on UNMUTE tomorrow!

TAILORS, Jesse and Bastiaan from The Hague. They met during high school at age 15. and discovered that they both shared a passion for music and producing. The love for different styles helped them find their own.  

Bastiaan Buesink was born on the 12th of July in 1989. At the age of thirteen his parents bought magix music maker and this is when he started making songs with loops. During this period he learned to play the drums and started experimenting with DJing and producing. After finishing highschool he went to the SAE in Amsterdam where he finished the Music Production Course and studied Media & Entertainment management.

Jesse Vrede was born on the 7th of may in 1990. Jesse has always been interested in music, especially since his parents both were DJs in their younger years. At age fifteen Bastiaan and Jesse started making their own productions.

The mix they made contain tracks from their new EP Get Together which is released on UNMUTE tomorrow.

As the Extrasketch catalogue continues to build, founder and curator Andrew Rasse, aka Butane, continues to craft and shape yet another a label showcasing a wealth of quality bridging right across the electronic sphere. Originally launched as a ‘vanity imprint’ and a new home for his solo productions, the label has since welcomed collaborations between Rasse and close friends Andras Toth and Riko Forinson. However, the 34th instalment on the label sees things go back to basics as Rasse returns to home turf solo and offers up a slick two-track EP as he drops ‘Rumble In The Jungle’ to open December.

Title track ‘Rumble In The Jungle’ reveals a heady and entrancing production as wandering organic percussion and hypnotic shakers are guided by enchanting vocal interactions, showcasing a cut perfect for hazy early morning hours. To contrast, ‘The Enchantment Is Over’ veers into more techno-tinged spheres as tight metallic drums and sizzling synth lines work in tandem to deliver a tense, suspenseful seven minute ride. Top stuff as always.
