Still Walking

This album came together during a transitional moment—late summer giving way to fall, just before the onset of winter’s stark embrace. Fittingly, I’m releasing it today, as the first snowfall blankets the ground with up to 15 cm of fresh snow. This time of year always hits me hard. I find myself mourning the end of summer, which seems to vanish in the blink of an eye.

Even through difficult seasons, there’s always space for hope—even when we feel like we’re At Capacity. I’ve come to believe that hardship can shape us, even if it rarely feels that way in the moment.

The title BLINK came to me from that very sense of time slipping through our fingers. As we age, it seems to accelerate—yet paradoxically, it can also slow to a crawl, almost painfully so. At 46, I’m more attuned than ever to that feeling: you blink, and it’s already over. During a long-overdue visit to my optometrist, she reminded me to blink more often to avoid dry eyes. That simple advice sealed it—BLINK was the perfect name.
