Converge “Under Duress” [ HALIFAX A.D. reconstruction]

A remix of Jaye Jayle’s dark dance floor-oriented “Don’t Blame The Rain” that is either early dubstep or industrialized noise rock (depending on where you jump in to this 6 and a half minute jam).

Process: I took each stem from the original into Audacity and created 72 loops of 9 seconds or less. These were then brought into the iPhone app Auxy. Most of what you hear are largely unaltered samples from the original song with the exception of the kick, snares, hi-hats, and the intermittent rumbling basslines. Most abstract sounds were derived from the original recording as well. Produced and mixed in Auxy.
