On Halina Rice's newest single "SPHERES" she creates an evocative soundscape blending melancholic vocal samples, analogue-style synths and leftfield beats. 

The track is the first in a series of releases and follows her debut album REDUX described by Clash Magazine as "a world of fragmentary beauty". 

The accompanying video by visual designer Jan Petyrek takes us into the Spheres VR world - a black and white floating globe - with a style at once futuristic and redolent of classic films such as Metropolis. A 'virtual streaming' experience - premiered to press on 1st October on youtube - has Halina playing live as a digital projection inside this virtual world.

Electronic musician Halina Rice enters the new year with a sublime, mood-melding track 'Terrain' juxtaposing ambient soundscapes alongside driving polyrhythmic beats. "In writing this track I felt infused with a sense of energy and optimism and of trying to convey how creative drive can assert itself from nothing”.

Terrain is the second installment in the 'New Worlds' project and the follow up to acclaimed single SPHERES described as "A sublime and infectious piece of electronic mastery" by Electronic Sound Magazine and "A melancholic and spacey example of futuristic electronica " by Bonafide Magazine.

Halina Rice is an electronic music producer and AV artist working at the intersection of music, art and technology. Her music ranges form ethereal soundscapes to beat-driven IDM with critically acclaimed releases ELISION on Injazero Records and 2023’s NEW BASIS EP drawing commendations from international publications:

In the last year she has toured extensively across the UK and appeared at international festivals including MUTEK Montreal, Amsterdam Dance Event and LEV Madrid.
