Our 101st podcast will be provided by the German DJ Pernox. Since a couple of years, Pernox is resident of Geheimclub Magdenburg. Since becoming a regular Pernox takes care of the bookings and podcast series of the club as well. Generally, he likes to implement a diverse range of tracks in his sets driven by his mood. Old School tools, groovy tracks, electro, ghetto house and footwork, all come across when plays. 

For Frenzy Pernox delivered a 3h mix, which is a live recording of his closing set at Geheimclub Magdeburg. When asked what he wanted to create during his 3h set, he told us: “I decided to open the set with some ambient stuff and to go not to hard (but fast-paced) from the beginning and create more and more tension. So I ended up playing more recent and driving productions during this part of the set. For me the first little break is at about 40 minutes, when I took out some of the energy. After that I went on playing more diverse and storytelling, and subsequently you can hear more and more old school tunes, the atmosphere is switching quite frequently and you can find some non-techno tracks.” Listen to the sound of Pernox here, enjoy!

Gonzo MDF [Counterweight, Rote Sonne]
The Dj, Producer and co-owner of the label Counterweight Gonzo MDF was born in the 80s in a
small town of Andalucia and is currently based in Munich .
Gonzo was already a techno addict for years when he moved to Munich in 2010, but after he
arrived in the Bavarian city he immediately felt the need of a stronger & harder Techno presence
in the city. Hit by this scenario and his passion for playing vinyl, in 2014 Gonzalo and some
friends finally decided to set up their own music project under the acronym SPVBT and started
placing some parties in small venues and off locations.
In 2016 he started alongside with Marco H a new event series called Counterweight, which takes
place once in a month in the stunning Rote Sonne. Since the beginning, Counterweight was
characterized for their rough sound and focused their bookings on acts that didn’t play in the
city before such as Dax J, Stranger, I Hate Models, Sunil Sharpe, Freddy K or Ansome, just to
name a few.
In 2017 Gonzalo and Marco decided to move one step further and their platform Counterweight
became also a record label. The first two references of the label were delivered by Gonzo MDF
including a collaboration of the great Endlec. The releases quickly got attention of some of the
heavyweight artists of the scene and got played in some of the most important venues in
Europe.
Gonzo’s sets could be defined by only one word: action. Expect the perfect mixture of early 00’s
Techno with the present, lots of tracks you’ve never heard before and for sure, most of it on
Vinyl.

María Marín (Hexxe), una talentosa joven de 26 años, oriunda de Murcia pero actualmente radicada en Valencia, es una apasionada de la música desde que tiene memoria. Influenciada por su padre, quien siempre ha sido un amante de la música, María ha dedicado gran parte de su vida a escuchar melodías de diversos géneros a diario.

A los 19 años, decidió embarcarse en proyectos relacionados con la música electrónica, sumergiéndose en el vibrante movimiento del free tekno. Fue en febrero de 2023 cuando subió por primera vez a una cabina en un club, marcando el inicio de una emocionante trayectoria en la escena musical.

Desde entonces, ha tenido el privilegio de presentarse en destacados eventos en Valencia y Madrid, como Gordo, Spook, Jaleo Real y Killing Time. Su pasión por la música la impulsa a mantenerse en constante evolución y aprendizaje, explorando una amplia gama de sonidos y estilos.

Encuentra en la música una poderosa fuerza que va más allá de las palabras, ocupando un lugar fundamental en su vida. Su enfoque musical está en constante evolución, siempre buscando salir de su zona de confort y experimentar con nuevos sonidos, fusionando todo lo que aprende en el camino.

Dimi Angelis’ eighth release on his ANGLS label is essentially a tale of four brothers. Four separate tracks, clearly related yet with distinctive qualities that sets each of them apart in its own unique way. 

Out Of Nowhere does its name justice by hitting home from its opening bars, throwing a messy sawtooth layered with evolving percussion at the listener. Following suit, Funky Lizard is an amalgamy of trippy, filtered arps blended with a classic rhythm section. Damage guaranteed.

Third up but musically no where near third place we find the aptly named Titan, a unabating industrial track that has quite the character as a tool but performs just well as on its own. Fast and gritty. As if forged from the same fire as Funky Lizard closer Automatic once more takes a turn for the introvert in an almost Millsian fashion by employing driving tonal paths and hissing drums forming a grand conclusion.

Hallien is a dj/producer from Italy. 
His musical dynamism is perfectly reflected in his productions: his records range from ambient/techno to industrial/deep techno, always placing dark and low-fi sounds at the centre.
Despite his young age has a considerable experience accumulated over the years, that allows him to be dynamic and capable in the all-round Electronics scene, dealing with Ambient and Techno projects ( with particular attention in the Hard, Industrial and Deep Techno area ) as well as having a deep knowledge of instruments for Live sets and productions, ranging from Drum-Machines to samplers and synthesizers. 
After years as a resident DJ at Jeko Area, in 2022 he joined Tech Clubbers and became a Resident DJ and active member.
