Here are some smashing tunes that were originally featured on "The Witching Hour's Halloween Radio Special" which was a pirate radio broadcast in 2001, created as a mockery of the old "Grey Zone" radio show that aired on KNON (a goth radio show hosted by pretentious DJ's that played gothic/industrial tunes).. Aron Orion & friends decided to record a parody of the show, the concept was that it was a Halloween special, and the hosts would play nothing but Halloween themed tunes.. They recorded a ton of bad Halloween songs, pretending to be fake bands, and then went on the air on a now-defunct pirate radio station in Dallas, mocking the "Grey Zone" hosts, and playing the tunes they recorded. Sure, the material was mostly awful, since it was all recorded in 4 days, but the songs were supposed to be bad! The radio show was recorded, and sold on cd through mail order in 2004, and became a local cult classic. Here is some of the material featured on that broadcast. Not our finest hour, but there are some treats buried in the trash. Happy Halloween!!
