HALS - Experimentelles Stimmbandkollektiv Minimal Improvisation

HALS is an a cappella collective from Vienna, Austria. The four singers rearrange folklore songs from central and eastern Europe and perform originals. Unexpected twists of rhythm and avant-garde voice acrobatics keep the listener alert to further surprises of the music. The ever evolving alternation of consonance and dissonance, the delicate balance between lightness and being solidly grounded are at the core of these exciting chants.
