Crystalized was originally written by Maggie Boswell, and was the first original song that Boswell introduced bandmate Thomas "Trip" Wood to. After listening to the track over and over for almost two years, Trip put his own spin on the track, and Halter Kids were born.

"I Missed You First is a track about something that not only happens to just about EVERYBODY, but almost everyone has done this to someone in their life as well. You’re deeply invested in someone, and then the relationship either slowly or incredibly quickly ends. You want to reach out, but your pursuits always seem to end in abrupt silence or a change of topic. After constant rejection, you do all that you can. 
You move on. And it’s okay. Life moves on and you forget about the frustrations of that relationship. But then a year passes by, and you get that text...
