S L V is the collaborative project of producers Downstate (Shanghai) and Hamacide (Tokyo). After releasing their debut EP on Urban Waves in 2012, Shanghai’s SVBKVLT label are proud to kick off their new 10” series with ‘Dagger’, one of S L V’s strongest productions to date. A tough yet cinematic 80/160bpm cut, ‘Dagger’ see’s the two producers styles collide and compliment each other perfectly, creating a track aimed at the head as well as the feet.

Finnish producer Desto (Signal Life, Rwina) takes on Dagger for the b-side, and amps up the pressure to maximum effect. Nordic footwork styles via East Asia!

Having already proved its potency on the dancefloor at clubs such as Fabric (London), The Shelter (Shanghai) and Ageha (Tokyo), SBKT001 has had DJ support from Kode9, Perera Elsewhere (Jahcoozi), Puzzle (Leisure System), Doshy and Desto amongst others.

I've been going through my old sessions files recently.  In the coming days/weeks, I'll be posting up unreleased tracks from when I lived in Shanghai (2010-2013).  Some instrumentals, some with vocals, some collabos.  Stay tuned.

I did this track with Manila's Caliph8.  We met in Shanghai when I opened for his Antidote show at The Shelter.  Over the years, he's done remixes for my song "You Me" with ChaCha and for my Oilworks remix album.

Going through my old sessions again. It's a bit weird opening up old Pro Tools sessions after switching over to Ableton.  Mainly the fact that my computer can't keep up...

Here's a demo that I'll put out later.  HanHan of the excellent Shanghai-based band Duck Fight Goose contributed some sounds on this one.  There's about 8 different versions of this track, so I just picked one.
