As a thank you to everyone who has supported my music over the past year or so, and in celebration of 1,000,000 plays on my Soundcloud, I decided to release this brand new original track for free.

It uses some vocal samples I found in a pack recently and is very piano-focused (as is most of my music these days). I hope the summer vibe it puts off warms up your cold wintery days.

This track uses an old vocal sample from a great RnB song by Groove Theory and I've modernised it into what people would call a 'house anthem'.

It combines some subtle piano arrangements and a pounding plucking bassline synonymous with the likes of UK House and Deep House.

Astrid S - Think Before I Talk (Hambleton Remix)

Hambleton traditionally always adopted a sound which was heavily influenced by artists like Gorgon City, Duke Dumont and other UK house producers. In this extended play, he attempts to break out of the confines of that sound by experimenting with blends of genres and even entirely new genres.

‘Going West’ was inspired by a recent trip Hambleton made to the western states of America where he went through California, Nevada, Utah, Idaho, Oregon and Washington. It tries to capture the openness and immensity of the landscapes across these regions. From the dusty plains of the Mojave Desert to the cascading waterfalls along the mighty Columbia River, there’s a track to fit each setting.
