So, here is another 138bpm-ish rework of an old 90's piano classic "San Trancisco" by Punchanella. Recreated the pianos in Ableton, ripped the vocal from the original and based it on Bryan Kearneys class reworks. This wasn't to be the final version but my hand was forced to upload this one as the USB holding the Ableton file corrupted ! Enjoy!

Billie Ray Martin - Your Loving Arms (DJ Hammy 2022 Rework)

Here is my unofficial 138bpm trance tribute to this brilliant track from 1992 by Ultrasonic, now with rolling basslines and arpeggios!  Recreated the original ravey pianos as best I could as well (2nd breakdown). Vocal was extracted from the original track, so isn't the cleanest, but the tune has some nice moments. Enjoy!

It uses the same formula as my Baby D mix (first time I ever used one of my own mixes as a reference!!). Rozalla - Everybody's Free (DJ Hammy 2023 Rework)

Absolutely loved the original Artful Dodger & Romina Johnson version of Movin' Too Fast, which brings back great memories of my first residency in Doyle's Bar, Cork City. In 2020, Back n Fourth came along with an awesome version, with new vocals. I always felt that a piano house mix of it could be class - here is my attempt. It includes the vocals from the 2020 version which came out cleaner than the Artful Dodger version. Enjoy!

I first put together this bootleg around ten years ago in Acid Pro. It has the music and lovely chords of KMC feat. Dhany - "I Feel so Fine" with the rap of Jungle Brothers - "I'll House You". Today I recreated a louder and crisper version in Ableton Live.

These two tracks were ones that I used to mash together live on vinyl back in the late 90s/ early 00s (after being absolutely mindblown seeing it done live first by Cork's Jonathan O'Connor). Fast forward twenty years and I got the idea to attempt a housey mix of Love Stimulation, which evolved into this bootleg. Getting good feedback so making it public. Nice and chuggy at 125bpm and as always featuring the M1 piano - Enjoy!

Here is my 126bpm rework of one of my all time favourite rave tracks of the very early 90s. It started as an idea - what would a tech house mix of this classic 1991 rave / jungle track sound like?  I used oneshot synth samples, acapellas, and even short bits of the original track spliced in for the transitions before the breaks. 
The result came out better than I expected. Hopefully you enjoy as much as I enjoyed putting it together!

Ok, I've been sitting on this for a while.... In 1996, Wexford won the All Ireland Hurling Final. Since then, the awesome original of this track (credit to Brendan Wade & Paul Bell!) has been the theme tune of the Wexford team to this day. No-one has ever even attempted to remix it.....Until now :)

Lots of Korg M1 and 909 sounds here. Using the Rachel McFarlane vocal (which isn't the cleanest),I lo-fi'd the rest of the track to give an old vinyl rip feel. Self mastered using Ozone. Around 15 years ago, I mashed together Chris de Burgh's 80's classic "Lady In Red" with the Wu Tang Clan's "Mystery of Chessboxin' " into a loop-based hiphop-tempo track with Acid Pro. It became fairly well known around Cork City in Ireland with 40000+ views on Youtube. 
Now, I have created a modern-ish dance track around the same samples. Shout-out to Ste Ingham for his Youtube tutorial on sampling old tracks, Notorious Lynch for the helpful advice and B at Unity Media for making me do it! This is the shorter mix. There is also an extended DJ Friendly version if needed. I did the best that I could on the master track, but could be a lot better with better monitors.

Scooter - Endless Summer (DJ Hammy 2020 Trance Rework)

Here is my 140bpm reworking of the classic Ultrasonic track "Love Me Right". In the same vein as my Scooter rework. Could not find any other remix of this iconic tune over the years so decided to have a go! I extracted the vocals using RX7 plugin. Two distinct parts to the track, the vocal with the recreated piano and then the breakdown with a recreated pluck which I turned into a banging trance arpeg. Again, inspired by Bryan Kearney's Old School rework sets.

Ultrasonic - Love Me Right (DJ Hammy 2020 Trance Rework)

Here is my house version of a classic Bob Marley track. This was unfinished on my hard drive since 2019, so after tons of tweaks, I've finally decided to put a line under it and publish it, so I can move on :) The main chorus is all that is sampled from the original, and I used mainly the Korg M1 sounds for the synths / pianos etc. The guitar pluck has a balearic feel. Enjoy!

Bought my first Kam belt drive record decks in 1998, and started DJ-ing shortly around Cork City and County as well as getting a slot on local stations Kiss FM, NRG FM, Klub FM and a few shows on the legendary Radio Friendly. Genres at the time- trance, house and hard-house. Also started using Acid Pro to make my own edits and mashups.

Having been retired from the DJ-ing game since 2006, Ableton Live filled the void as I started to learn to produce tracks.

Now...
In 2019, I picked up my first midi controller, a Pioneer SB3 with Serato Pro and started putting new set mixes on mixcloud.

Currently, I'm putting out bootlegs and mashups using Ableton as a kind of learning curve to making original tracks.

Short term goal - 2k+ followers. DONE!
Long term goal - get something signed! DONE!
New goals incoming, roll on 2023!
