Without love, life is like a dry and desolate desert.  This song was inspired by the end of a relationship that had once blossomed, but over the years had shriveled to dust.  When I traveled through the deserts of northern Arizona, I somehow made the connection, capturing my thoughts along the way.  Later I added music and this song emerged.

Lover Lost isn't about losing your lover -- it's about searching and finding that person.  It's about the ache we have inside to love and be loved.  It's about how chance or fate leads us to find one another -- that someone whose perspective, spirit, personality and soul resonates with ours and provides us with with the love and companionship we seek.

I wrote Say Goodbye when I realized I needed to leave a 28 year relationship with someone I loved, but could no longer live with.  I took a job out of state as well, so I invited my young-adult children be in the audience when I sang it on stage before I left town.  I hope the song resonates with any situation where saying goodbye isn't easy.

At 12 I learned to play and sing on the guitar and started writing songs of my own.  Songs about heartache, determination, love, hurt, hope, passion and peace.  My songs weave in and out of several genre's:  Americana, folk, soft-rock, country, singer-songwriter and pop.
