The 11th edition of my Squat Rocking series — dedicated to the sounds of the London illegal raves of my youth — is a special tribute to an obscure but brilliant label: Organgrinder Records. Run by Zebedee and Lawrence, Organgrinder never had the name recognition of labels like Stay Up Forever, Routemaster, or Smitten, but it played a vital role in the scene’s ecosystem. Every label mattered! I've always loved their uncompromising, no-nonsense releases, so I thought it was time to shine a little spotlight on them. Enjoy!

Squat Rocking 11 - Organgrinder Records 1997-2001 (A tribute to a key old skool London acid techno label!)

Dans les profondeurs d’une jungle mystérieuse, une femme entame sa traversée. Les lianes l’entourent et les tambours au loin résonnent comme un cœur ancien, rappelant que la terre, elle aussi, est vivante.

Les percussions deviennent ses guides. Les nappes et les textures dessinent autour d’elle un paysage sauvage où chaque fragment sonore agit comme un sceau, ouvrant les portes d’un monde secret.

C’est la première étape du voyage : une immersion dans l’ombre, un rite d’ancrage, une marche dans l’épaisseur de l’inconscient où chaque pas résonne comme une pulsation.

Ici, le féminin sauvage se rappelle à elle, brut, instinctif. Elle sent la puissance de ses racines, de sa propre noirceur, cette part d’elle-même qu’elle avait longtemps contenue. Dans cet espace obscur, elle se confronte, se dépouille, mais se découvre aussi : son corps reprend sa place et sa vulnérabilité se transforme en force.

Puis, au cœur de la jungle, une ouverture se dessine. La lumière perce les feuillages, et avec elle, une métamorphose. Le rythme change, il devient plus rapide, plus festif. Elle rit, elle vibre, elle danse. Ce n’est plus une lutte, mais une célébration. La techno embrase l’espace, cercle incandescent où l’énergie se libère.

Dans cette seconde phase, elle n’est plus seulement une voyageuse : elle est une initiée. L’ombre et la lumière se sont réconciliées en elle. Le féminin intérieur s’exprime librement, sensuel, sauvage, solaire. Elle comprend que sa force ne réside pas dans le contrôle, mais dans l’abandon, dans la capacité à accueillir la pulsation du monde et à la transformer en mouvement.

Dans cette jungle sonore, elle a retrouvé son feu, sa lumière, et la joie profonde d’être pleinement elle-même.
