Written in praise of the diety of the Kattinakere village temple Madhukeshwara. "ಕೇದಾರವಾರಿ ಪ್ರೋಕ್ಷಿತ ಘನಘೋಷ" = ಓಂಕಾರ/Omkara = The splash/sound of the river Mandakini flowing down Kedara is itself Omkara.

ಪತಿ ಸಾಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ೧೫ ಮತ್ತು ೯ ಮಾತ್ರೆಗಳಿವೆ ಒಟ್ಟು ೨೪ ಅಂದರೆ ೮ ಅಕ್ಷರದ ಮೂರು ಆವರ್ತನೆ ಬರುವಂತೆ ಇದೆ (ಕೊನೆಯ ಅಕ್ಷರದ ಮಾತ್ರೆ ಒಂದು ಎಂದು ಗಣಿಸಿದರೆ). ಮಧ್ಯದ ಸಾಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದ್ಯ್ ಮಾತ್ರೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಮಟ್ಟು ಬೇರೆ. ರಾಗ ಯಮುನಾ ಕಲ್ಯಾಣಿ.  ಇದು ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯ ಗುನುಗಿ ರಚನೆ ಸರಿಯೆನಿಸಿದ ಕೂಡಲೆ ಒಂದೇಸಾರಿ ಹೇಳಿ ಮುದ್ರಿಸಿದ ಧ್ವನಿ. ಹಾಗಾಗಿ ಅಲ್ಲಲ್ಲಿ ರಚನೆಯಾಗುವಾಗ ಸಹಜವಾದ ಸ್ವರಚಲನ ಹುಡುಕಾಟ ಸ್ವಲ್ಪಕಾಣಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಸಂಯೋಜನೆ ಸ್ಥಿರವಾದಮೇಲೆ ಸ್ವರಗಳಬಳಕೆ ಸ್ಥಿರವಾಗಿ ಇನ್ನೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಮನೋಧರ್ಮ ಬಳಸಲು ಅನುವಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.

A song Composed, lead & harmony vocals by myself. My humble tribute to the martyrs of Indian independent struggle. To those who were shot at for speaking against the oppressors. Those who were jailed. Those who were beaten or hanged for voicing out. And to those freedom fighters of our times. Many of them, unknown to us. Those who work on to make India a better and better place. Those who work on several issues – dalit, tribal/adivasis, marginalized and economically backward communities, women, sexual minorities, health care, domestic violence, political violence, terrorism, religious extremism, justice, corporate crimes, environment and so on.

This is a varNa I composed a few years ago, sung very beautifully by vocalist Ragini Sanath.

The sAhitya of the varNa is in Kannada goes as follows:

kareyE kOgile mAdhavana 
kAtara tumbida ee nayana ||pa||
kANalu kAdide priyatamana
bAranEko arriye nA ||a.pa||

kELade nanee more ! innoo ||

The first 3 lines of the sAhitya are taken as-is from very popular classic Kannada movie song from written by Sorath Ashwath, for the 1964 movie, navajeevana), 

I found it very appropriate for the composition and added  two more lines to give the full structure of a varNa.

ಕರೆಯೇ ಕೋಗಿಲೆ ಮಾಧವನ
ಕಾತರ ತುಂಬಿದ ಈ ನಯನ ||ಪಲ್ಲವಿ||
