Elle sort diplômée en génie biomédical de l'université de Toronto en 1997. Chanteuse soprano, elle remporte le premier prix du concours international Operalia en 2000 et se lance dans une carrière à l'opéra, se produisant dans les salles les plus prestigieuses1. En 2002, elle interprète la chanson Evenstar pour la bande originale du film Le Seigneur des anneaux : Les Deux Tours. De 2004 à 2007, elle a remporté quatre fois consécutivement le prix Juno de la meilleure interprétation vocale sur un album de musique classique2.

Elle s'est mariée avec le pianiste Serouj Kradjian en 2004. Le couple a deux enfants.

Born in Lebanon and of Armenian origin, Isabel Bayrakdarian emigrated to Canada as a teenager. She graduated from the University of Toronto with a degree in Biomedical Engineering in 1997. A soprano singer, she won first prize in the Operalia international competition in 2000 and embarked on a career in opera, performing in the most prestigious venues1. In 2002, she sang the song Evenstar for the soundtrack of the film Le Seigneur des anneaux: Les Deux Tours. From 2004 to 2007, she won the Juno Award for Best Vocal Performance on a classical music album four times in a row2. 

She married pianist Serouj Kradjian in 2004. The couple has two children.

Turkish producer Kerem Gell returns to Ready Mix Records with his latest 'Vaveyla EP' including two new original tracks: 'Vaveyla' and 'African Children', with remixes from Holed Coin and Kiano & Below Bangkok.

Opening track 'Vaveyla' features complex sitar melodies interwoven with moody synths and Eastern vocals over a heavyweight rhythm section, adding up to a unique and dramatic soundscape.

The Dub Mix of 'Vaveyla' strips away the vocal flourishes and introduces subtle arpeggios to drive the track forward, ramping up both the energy and intensity.

Kerem's second original track  'African Children' builds an ethereal, slo-mo atmosphere, blending a compelling patchwork of Eastern and Western influences while merging electronic and acoustic sounds. 

Brilliant live electronic act Holed Coin provides the first remix of 'African Children', adding his own unique, languid and somewhat melancholic style to the track with live piano and strings.

Kiano & Below Bangkok transform 'African Children' into a mellow house tune, introducing heavier drums and rhythmic synths. The duo also turn in a Dub version, which creates an airy, free-flowing groove for discerning dance-floors.
