The Legend of the Pom Pom Kid

There’s a new kid in the yard today
I saw him with Miss Hathaway
Looked jumpy was a nervous cat
And sitting on his head was a pom pom hat
Don’t you ever touch his hat or
Quick as you can blink you’ll be on your back
He’s studied in Karate they said

Like Bobby Boy Loranco did
Bobby Boy can hold his own
But the kid’s got a mean streak hard as stone
I heard he learned to fight in jail
When his momma wouldn’t pony up with the bail
The cops couldn’t make it stick

I heard his parents died in a crash 
When the plane they were flying simply ran out of gas
Funny how the last thing they did

Wily was wiry with a ganja tattoo that you knew that he already regretted

Duane was as plain as the nose on your face oh what a shock when I heard
He rode the white horse to the cemetery gates and nobody said a word

Brent was bent like $3 bill he never came home one night
He jumped in the river trying to get away boss got him locked down tight

Gord was bored with suburban life decided to make a change
He became she seemed a blink of an eye now nothing of Gord remains

Was a jerk anyway

Stanley was manly and a total nutcase he came with a party trick
Batter up he cried as he cracked the kid’s skull and the sound of it made me sick

Shawn was born with a hole in his heart momma tried to keep him safe
But momma wasn’t with him in the car that night when they hit the emergency brake

Honey Took the Money
I threw the baby with the bath water and said goodbye to that town
Went looking for the funky people they’re the ones who wanna get down
I nursed that wreck up across the state line
Find a little honey gonna have a good time

Well I got more chicken than KFC
The whole cell block will be proud of me
I catch a little speed and the madness begins
Honey starts a stick up and I jump right in
But Honey had some other plans I found out
Honey took the money and ratted me out

I ain’t one to go down without a fight
It took six of ‘em to get me in the squad car that night
If I wasn’t on parole I probably would’ve lied
If I wasn’t on the come down I probably would’ve tried
I’ll catch another long stretch there’s no doubt
