DJ handbag is a long-standing presence in Berlin’s underground queer scene, known for electrifying sets that radiate trans femme energy and unapologetic joy. A core member of @ooze collective, her sound blends handbag, hardbag, house, UK bass and garage with a dose of diva drama and industrial edge.

Rooted in community and rebellion, her sets blur genre boundaries and bring together shimmering euphoria with raw intensity. Think dreamy textures, high-camp vocals, and full-throttle energy — all delivered with theatrical flair and serious skill.

This set was recorded in the SEVEN secret garden in Berlin in June 2025. We’d known Tal for years, but this was the first time hearing her play a full set — and we were blown away. Bold selections, flawless mixing, and an energy that lights up the whole dancefloor. She commands the booth with love and joy, and this one will have you dancing from start to finish.

"Electronic music was born in queer and Black spaces, and that legacy must be honored and protected. Inclusivity isn't a trend or a marketing angle - it's the foundation of what we do. The dancefloor should be a sanctuary where everyone, regardless of gender identity, sexuality, race, or background, can exist freely and safely.

As a trans-femme artist deeply embedded in Berlin's queer nightlife, I've witnessed firsthand how transformative these spaces can be. But inclusivity requires constant work: challenging gatekeeping, amplifying marginalized voices, prioritizing harm reduction and creating environments where vulnerability is met with care, not judgment.
