Mutable Ground is an album created through an exchange of recordings between Anna and Yannis. The project is rooted in the idea of sudden shifts in current events and the ever-growing emotions tied to loss, change, and tension. Each track title is inspired by unstable phenomena and objects, reflecting the potential for unexpected movement and the transitions of both nature and humanity. Repetitive, chaotic drum patterns, vocals that echo sounds of wounded or lost animals, hollow soundscapes reveal a sonic world where creation and destruction coexist—where people dance around fires, caught between fragility and resilience.

Another nice mixtape ! ... another nice mistake?  
Another Nice Mess !

After one month, back as motivated as never before -
with a bunch of new people waitin' to appear within the second year of AUFSCHNITT.

Number 12 (and I'm SO glad that in the end we made it) comes from Dj Marcelle, a woman I've been following for a while now. She hosts a beautiful show on Red Light Radio, Amesterdamn. 

When I asked the Dutch producer for a mix outside club territory, her initial reaction was 'That she plays anything she likes', even in clubs. Her three turntables mixes comprise of ambient records on top of Techno tracks or African singing over Leftfield electronics.

Freedom to do whatever she fancies and not bowing to audience expectations is essential for her art.
But even Marcelle plays some music only at home ; a house full of literature, colourful flea market stuff and some 20,000 vinyls.

In this mix she combines the music she grew up with and whose adventurous spirit and political stance influenced her a lot (Throbbing Gristle, The Fall, The Raincoats, Public Image Limited, The Fire Engines, Buzzcocks) but is reluctant to play live because she dislikes safe retro sets, with amongst others beautiful music from  the Sahel (Fatou Seidi Ghali), sounds from her favourite ''classical'' instrument: the cello (Sarah Neufeld), eerie ambient (Ancestral Voices, Deaf Center) and Italian avant garde (Lino Capra Vaccina). 

Anything goes with Marcelle, also in the confines of her private spheres.

This time - 2 HOURS of warm tunes from somebody who loves forward thinking music very much - thank you so much DJ Marcelle/Another Nice Mess!
