an homage to American TV painting personality Bob Ross, who I watched regularly back in the 80s before his posthumous internet fame
I'm sorry to have butchered Don McLean's beautiful song Vincent by changing the words and using his melody and my croaky voice...folksinger, I am not... oh well it was  a good lyric writing exercise at least

Painting with his secret sauce
Liquid White on canvas tossed
I watched him late at night on my TV

Cadmium Yellow daffodils 
A mix of Midnight Black to make his hills
His velvet voice and landscape plan so chill
Nature seemed to bow at his command

Now I understand
All those forest, ocean, winter scenes
400 episodes with Phthalo Green
On PBS commercial-free
His rush with brush and speedy painting bliss
And now he's called an ASMRist

His clouds they look like candy floss
Reds and yellows, greens in semi-gloss
Creeks that sing and swim in Prussian Blue

Those mountains built on cue
With his pallet knife, he lays them down 
Their peaks and valleys glow like starry crowns
Bold colors he will wear and share with you

Now I'm speaking true
Of his wise words that he wished for me
Happy accidents are meant to be
They have come to set you free
Just like life sometimes, some spots get messed
Here comes your big tree bravery test

I know the art snobs did not like him
Nor did that Alexander dude
But still, he spoke to me
Big hair, big heart, big B
His reruns run most every afternoon 
Here's to the boss our Mr. Ross
There'll never be another one as sweet or super cool

Music made by hands, not algorithms...

For many years I concentrated on painting, but meanwhile I come back to music more and more. I always like to connect the different mediums, also writing lyrics. I play several instruments with main instrument classical guitar. I'm no singer, but sometimes I like to send a message.
I enjoy your music on SC very much and often hear my likes. It's much better then the mainstream.  Many thanks to you all!
