This experiment is the result of a transformation process based on a handpan recording. The goal was to put the handpan play in concert with other instruments which were generated by different artifical intelligence approaches including recurrent and generative adversarial networks. If you want to reproduce it, just follow this recipe:

HANDPAN AI EXPERIMENT SERIES I
14 november 2021 - for Anna

algorithm
1 play and record an original melody on the handpan
2 transcribe the recorded melody to midi notes with https://piano-scribe.glitch.me/
3 use the midi notes with https://magenta.tensorflow.org/gansynth
4 generate desired number of variations
5 audio mix the original melody at 100% with each generated variation at 60% and repeat until satisfied
6 save to audio file and play the handpan AI concert
