The new Handstitched* series of evolving limited-edition issues are released on both mini CD and C45 cassette and will focus on two artists with a total of 22 minutes per artist, one CD and one-half of a C45 cassette per artist - limited to 50 copies per release. Each of the formats have hand-crafted packaging, unique, hand-printed covers for the CD and hand-made cassette sleeves for the pro-dubbed tapes.

After many years of amazing releases, and many moments spent admiring and listening to The Green Kingdom's musical adventures, Handstitched* is happy to announce a new release as part of the new limited-edition split artist format by The Green Kingdom and Maps and Diagrams.

Michael Cottone is a graphic designer and sound artist based in Michigan and presents to us "Audioloom 1", which will hopefully become a series of works over time. Michael creates an audio collage from disparate sources, samples, synths as well as acoustic and electric guitar. The "Audioloom" story is intended to create a musical narrative. We are over-the-moon to be releasing these new pieces by The Green Kingdom, who has previously released music via these well-respected imprints; Dronarivm, Past Inside the Present, Sound in Silence, Hidden Vibes, Lost Tribe Sound, Tench and Nomadic Kids Republic, to name but a few. 

Maps and Diagrams, appears on the "B" side of the split artist release with The Green Kingdom; with four tracks making-up "Streams" - focusing on a tonal and minimal edge that brings moments of the past year together, like a musical sketchbook where we can reflect as we slowly move forward.

After following each other in differing capacities, both musically and visually, the two have connected for the new Handstitched* release "Architectures Of Light". As with all good collaborations, Seaman and Spera found a method that worked best for their musical-output, an organic flow and process that allowed the songs to breathe naturally with time and space.

Sending each other libraries of potential ideas, then building up layers of sounds, adding to each other's work as time progressed. Multiple iterations created by each artist on the album formed the audible backbone and it was added-to, and/or broken-down to form alternative viewpoints, resulting in moments of slowly formed movements which evolve without escaping the focus of the audience's attention.

There is a depth in the work of Seaman and Spera that is noticeable in the form of languages and interpretation, using found-sound, evocative vocal samples from past archives and degraded/fluctuating tape loops. Two songs have accompanying visual works, one produced by Seaman and one by Spera, both videos marry the visual and musical language found inside the music with dream-like and organic representations for each respective work.

Handstitched* is thrilled to announce the next installment of the split-artist series, Ian Hawgood and Fields We Found feature alongside each other for an outing of outstanding musical composure and tranquility. 

Ian's music needs little introduction, with many releases and collaborations under his belt on numerous well-known labels - to say he's prolific is pretty close to the mark. Ian also curates the wonderful Home Normal label, here in the UK. "upward eyes" is seriene, slow-moving and hauntingly subtle, prolonged space fills the moments we frequently overlook and leaves time for reflection during a quiet time spent in an open space. We are honoured to have his debut EP "upward eyes" featuring on Handstitched*. 

Fields We Found has just released his outstanding album "Distance" on the lovely Seil Records, which has been on constant rotation here at Handstitched* over the past month - and the new EP "kindred" is equally as moving, graceful and bewitching. The equilibrium and expression within "kindred" is harmonious - and at the same time, quietly sonorous.

Fields We Found and Ian Hawgood are both welcomed to Handstitched* with many thanks and admiration for their respective musical works as part of the split-artist series, it's great to have them visiting Handstitched* for this special release.

Handstitched* returns with a new release in the split-artist series - where two artists feature back-to-back on both CD and tape. Offthesky and Soysea meet somewhere in the middle for this amazing release. Both of the artists' music compliment each other very nicely, a perfect pairing of musical minds and sound.

Offthesky makes his second appearance on Handstitched*, after the mesmerising "to break is something sacred" long-player in 2019. Jason's new work "Anatomy of Infinity" features three epic pieces, shrouded in timeworn mystery, far-eastern echoes shine through, glistening and descending through a contrast of discord and awe-inspiring beams of light. 

Soysea makes a welcome appearance on Handtitched* - after hearing his music previously we were excited to get a chance to release "Oriens". Michele's music is nicely-rounded, understated drones and subtle vocals carry the listener through longitudinal divisions, meaningful and with purpose, the music is splendid, soulful and thought-provoking. 

It's amazing to get the chance, once again for another Offthesky release, this time alongside Soysea - the music is simply elegant, and contentment, which Handstitched* is very happy to put proudly out-there. Each format is limited to 50 copies each. The tape release is slid into hand-made, creased, folded and assembled cotton rag O-cards, the CD release comes in hand-made gatefold sleeves with mixed-media collage cover artworks, every design is individual, unique and made by hand.

The new self-titled release by Feeling Flying is from Andrew Thomas and Bevan Smith, a collaboration of two like-minded musicians, focused on improvisation, experimentation and minimal sound that allowed them to create a unique expression deep within the process and to explore dynamic and ever-evolving compositions. The end results are an organic and continuous musical dialogue of sonic, interpretive landscapes.

Handstitched* is happy to announce a new split-artist EP (hs53) is by two consistent artists and friends of Handstitched* - Darren Harper & Ümlaut, both well-known and respected within musical spheres and both have released music on an amazing array of well-respected labels over the years.

Darren Harper - "Generational Drift - A seasonal reflection in four movements" wanders through a tactile and circular movement of explorations and minimalistic patterns of generative structures, each arrangement allows itself to occupy its own space within the theme, and variations evolve with harmonious and unrestricted woven textures, subtly offering an openness and tranquillity. "Generational Drift" is a long-form piece that is a sonic tapestry of evolving beauty and internal perceptions.

Ümlaut - "The Celestial Sphere" in contrast to Darren Harpers' work is fractured, short-formed pieces adjoining each other with a disjointed tension, sometimes off-kilter but always focused with a thought-provoking structure. Ümlaut navigates his way through contrasting and conflicting elements and carries the listener through a maze of articulations and random jazz-infused electronic segments, choosing to avoiding traditional form and creating something uniquely dynamic and engaging, all wrapped-up inside a sonic cosmos.

Handstitched* returns after a summer excursion and is super-excited to announce the next release in the split-artist series, this limited issue is by producer and instrumentalist Andrew Dobson under his guise Of The Night Sky, and French sound artist Jean-Emmanuel Rosnet.

Both artists deliver two emotionally resonant and individual perspectives for the split EP, Of The Night Sky who has previously released an EP on the Cactus Island label as Digitonal visits Handstitched* with his Coastal EP which focuses on his creative visions, surroundings and explorations with combinations of textured ambience and introspective harmonies which links Of The Night Sky’s music and the Suffolk landscapes together in musical soundscapes.

Jean-Emmanuel Rosnet is focused on improvisation - weaving patchworks of modular synthesis, tape variations, resampling and digital process into magical and mysterious sound collages, inspired by Musique Concrète and his trademark overlapping of intimate dimensions within natural environments. À main levée was composed in early 2024 in the heart of Parc Naturel du Livradois-Forez's green hills where he is now located. À main levée follows his recent album Les Alentours which was released on Californian imprint Not Not Fun Records.

Issued on limited edition mini double CD and C-45 cassette [HS45] both formats are limited to 50 copies, featuring individually hand-bound and unique hand-cut collage CD wallets made from vintage Japanese materials and papers.

Each CD copy is hand-numbered and packed inside glassine bags. Handmade, creased and glued tape O-cards are presented in five separate designs taken from the collage artworks of the CD covers and packed in clear eco bags.
