ntka is a DJ and event curator hailing from Ireland, moulded by Melbourne and currently residing in Gold Coast.

A lover of deep, hypnotic grooves and rolling basslines - and a devotee of house & several of it’s sub genres (minimal, deep tech, progressive), Intka’s DJ sets are a reflection of his dedication to the craft. His pursuit of quality and grasp of the inner workings of a dance floor have led to opportunities behind the decks at festivals, events and venues around Gold Coast, Melbourne and beyond.

In collaboration with DJs Cotzy & uncledrew, Intka formed an event collective called ‘Sub Mission’ in 2022. Sub Mission events focus on sharing the best in minimal tech house and have gone from strength to strength, taking over multiple venues in Melbourne including Lucky Coq, Bad Decisions & Dirty Secrets. More recently he has launched a new project, titled ‘headzy bop’, under which he has already run several underground events in Ireland and the Gold Coast, with more in the pipeline.

This mix, recorded during Cyclone Alfred on the Gold Coast, is inspired by that surreal and slightly eerie experience. Meandering through sounds from the deep & mesmerising, through more uplifting and eventually into raw, trippy acid - it’s an expression of that strange time which he hopes you enjoy!
