In South American Indigenous culture, an Icaro signifies magic or alchemy, and is a healing chant. Sung by a curandero, or shaman, it is said the icaro channels medicinal spirits ~

I made this tribute to the late Olivia Arévalo (1933 - 2018) to honor her beautiful voice, soul and wisdom 

Olivia was an acknowledged Shamana and leader of the Shipibo-konibo tribe in Perú, as well as a political activist defending the Peruvian Amazon. In April last year, she was sadly murdered - but her legacy continues to live on

Olivia was the living memory of her people, one of first female shamans of Peru. Her approach of healing people was really in a total respect of the traditional way from ancient Shipibo
