Deep House Mix Vol. 5

The Line Control" is the second EP by Addex released on the label EDM Underground after  EP 2013 Lights Will Be Off". On the ep we find smoothness on the first track, a laidback deep house sound build up by the warmth and depth of the vocal and the atmospheric chord behind it. Memory Box comes second, having more melody approach, rhythm and depth aswell, delivered by the sensual sounds of saxophone. Changes, the third track has rhythmatic elements with the heavy and hypnotic chord in the background on a loop and last track, Up Togheter close the ep with a danceable mood from the cuts of chords and sounds lightning out the track. I trawled through my old hard drive for inspiration on this one and ended up using a few old school tracks from back in my speed garage / bassline house days - I think they sit in there real nice. If it's the right track, music really is timeless.

This mix features 22 tracks that I'm really feeling at the moment across a variety of genres / years - it's basically pre drinks, a mash up rave and baby makin' all in one mix.

Featuring producers such as Secondcity, Skream, Lancelot, Jon Phonics, Philly Station, My Nu Leng, Taiki & Nulight and many more! 
0314 also includes a couple of mine and Chris Lorenzo's collaborations; 'Shine' which is an official remix for the very talented Karin Park and an unofficial remix of 'Hey Now'.

Live recording from the second installment of NIGHT BASS on February 27th at Sound Nightclub with AC Slater (Trouble & Bass, Party Like Us), Taiki and Nulight (Black Butter Records), Blaise James (OWSLA), Justin Jay (dirtybird), and Bones (Gotta Dance Dirty).

On Thursday, January 30th, we launched NIGHT BASS at Sound Nightclub – a new event series curated by AC Slater and his Brooklyn-based record label Party Like Us. Los Angeles was served up a deep dish of house, club, UK garage, bassline, and 2-step from AC Slater, Christian Martin, Astronomar, Petey Clicks, and Sleazemore. It was such memorable night, we wanted to capture the vibe of NIGHT BASS to share with everyone. And so, in the spirit of the old skool rave "tape packs" of the 90s, we're making these special live sets available each month after NIGHT BASS here on Soundcloud.

Whilst maintaining it's fundamental elements, the essence of the of the 160-170 BPM music bracket or DnB spectrum has been fluctuating wildly in recent times. It's ongoing evolution is as relevant, infectious and omnipotent as ever. Drawing in the influences of Chicago's Footwork, Juke and Ghetto House sounds, the big guns at Exit Records, Critical, Metalheadz et al., continue to be the  pioneering forces shaping these sounds. Constantly pushing the boundaries and making it impossible for any sort of categorical box to even enter this conversation.

Down in the trenches along the fringes of the war-zone, Sam Binga has been doing a first rate job in cutting his teeth, chugging out bombs alongside mainstays like Om Unit & Addison Groove, he has left his mark on the field and has earned his stars to garner huge support behind this alias. We thought it fitting time to recruit the man for the latest instalment of the 7 Wonders series. Ruede has straddled the worlds of design, editorial and DJing ever since he first got involved with music. He became editor at Flyer magazine in Berlin at the beginning of the 2000s, which helped to further cement his relationship with the city's electronic music scene. Though he had experimented with music as a child, singing in a choir and playing both the flute and the guitar it wasn't until he got hold of a computer and started to make music via software that he truly began to express himself musically.

As time went on he began to release his music and gradually became recognised as a respected musician. He joined the Watergate crew and his career has spiralled upwards ever since, most rceently he was responsible for the excellent Watergate 13 compilation. It's an honour to have one of Berlin's finest on board for our mix tape series and it's a special one, enjoy!
