Hangover Blackout band was born from the darkness of a cold and alcoholic winter, in December 2008, from the union of four musicians previously involved in various groups of the Valtellina rock scene (Exhausted, Przewalski and 112Abarth).
The project started with several months of improvisation in order to understand the natural stylistic direction but in the summer of 2009 something slowly began to happen and, during December of the same year, the band performed live in a local pub, playing some original songs, some covers and a bit of improvisations.
Then, the group started to believe in their work and composed new songs looking for a personal style, a sound inspired, but perhaps not too much, by bands like QOTSA, TOOL, A Perfect Circle, as well as Nirvana, Soundgarden and Alice in Chains.
Finally, the band reached, in their opinion, a genre they liked to call "Stonegrunged”...
After some live performances in northern Italy, the band recorded an EP in order to promote their music and have a chance in the Italian underground rock scene.
The EP was recorded during two rainy days on the end of October 2010 at the “IGLOO AUDIO FACTORY”, in Correggio (RE), with Lorenzo Monti (ex Milaus) at the mixer, and it has been finally ready in February 2011, with the title "Amigdala".
The EP contains three songs, twenty minutes of music where the personality, the energy and stylistic direction of the band are clear. Its graphics were handled by Elisa Ronconi, a young and local talented artist.
In 2012 the band came into possession of a recording of their live performace during the Morborock Vol.2 festival occurred at the end of May 2011. This live recording contains all the original tracks of the band.
On 12/12/2012 the band decided to split up for personal reasons but everything changes and transmutates so do not rush to consider HB a dead project. We are still alive...

Gli Hangover Blackout nascono dal buio di un freddo e alcolico inverno, precisamente nel dicembre 2008, dall'unione di quattro musicisti morbegnesi da anni militanti in diverse formazioni della scena rock valtellinese (Exhausted, Przewalski, 112 Abarth)..
Il progetto parte con alcuni mesi di improvvisazioni al fine di capire la naturale direzione della band, ma dall'estate 2009 sembra che qualcosa cominci pian piano a prendere forma e nel dicembre dello stesso anno avviene il primo live in un pub della zona, in cui vengono presentati i  brani fino ad allora composti e qualche improvvisazione…
Da quel momento i ragazzi cominciano a crederci e compongo nuovi pezzi alla ricerca di uno stile personale, di un sound ispirato, ma forse neanche troppo, a gruppi come QOTSA, TOOL, A PERFECT CIRCLE, ma anche NIRVANA, SOUNDGARDEN e ALICE IN CHAINS, e arrivano, a loro avviso, a fare qualcosa che loro stessi amano definire "Stonegrunged"...
A seguito di alcuni live tenutisi in locali e festivals del nord Italia, decidono di incidere un Ep, un biglietto da visita con il quale farsi conoscere e cercare di ritagliarsi un posto all'interno della scena underground nazionale..
Il lavoro, registrato in due giorni piovosi della fine di ottobre 2010 all'IGLOO AUDIO FACTORY di Correggio (RE), viene curato al banco di regia da Lorenzo Monti (ex Milaus) e nella sua veste grafica da Elisa Ronconi, una giovane artista morbegnese.
Il disco vede finalmente la luce nel febbraio 2011 con il titolo "Amigdala" e contiene tre pezzi, una ventina di minuti dai quali risultano evidenti il carattere, l'energia e la direzione stilistica della band.
Nel 2012 il gruppo entra in possesso anche della registrazione live di una loro performance durante il concerto Morborock 2011 tenutosi alla fine del Maggio 2011 a Morbegno (SO).
Il 12/12/2012 il gruppo si scioglie ufficialmente ma nella vita non c'è mai nulla di certo o definitivo, tutto cambia e si trasforma..Aspettate a darci per morti...
