fühlte ich nur meine eigene Hand.

ruhig war dein Antlitz wie ein Schattenstreif, 
durch unzählbare Länder vor Augen,

(Après le poème de Gu Cheng en 1984)

In 1984 verbrachte der junge Dichter Gu Cheng vermutlich einige Zeit am Meer. Der unendliche Ozean und dessen unberechenbare Kraft wurde zunächst zum konkreten Motiv in seinem Zyklus Namens »das Ornament des Meers« illustiert. Daher verwendete ich es als erstes Gedicht in meinem neuen Zyklus.

Das erste Stück dieses Zyklus basiert auf dem technischen und klanglichen Versuch, den Halbregisterzug an der Orgel zu verwenden. Ich versuche zudem das dadurch entstehende Verhältnis von Orgel und Stimme zu erforschen. Den Klang betrachte ich nicht als fließenden musikalischen Gestus, sondern wie eine Art Ausstellungsgegenstand in einem Museum.

Die Völker bewegten sich wie der Tag und die Nacht.
Die Völker in der Dunkelheit strahlten ihr Licht aus Nebelwolken.

Ihre Herzen waren pur wie durch Stürme geschliffenes Kristall.
Nach dieser Unruhe wurden sie durch mein ausdrucksloses Gesicht angeschaut.

Die Antlitze des Hellhäutigen und Dunkelhäutigen standen nebeneinander, 
eng zusammengewachsen wie Sonnenblumenkerne.
Sie breiteten ihre Pollen aus, ließen die Zahnräder nach der Vernunft fragen.

Im glasklaren Himmel hingen Blutsäcke. Nach den Razzien der ungeheuren Truppen
standen die Völker auf einer Insel, einsam auf den toten Erden.

Le Terrain du Mirage (2014)

Moonsay is a 20-minute musical composition created for a performance with five musicians and amplified clothes racks, in connection with a data analysis of systematic anti-migrant crimes in Germany.

Its premiere takes place as part of the performance “What If – What If – Between Archive and Departure” – a performative installation exploring the tensions between migrant memory culture and the search for utopian alternatives. The work will be presented at the Museum am Rothenbaum – Cultures and Arts of the World (MARKK) in Hamburg, as part of the Fluctoplasma Festival 2025, under the theme “Vision beyond the West.”

Photographer and composer Hang Su interweaves documentary images of arson attacks against migrant communities – archived in the project “Brandmuster” by Joel Schülin – with lunar photographs by Kurdish astrophotographer Darya Kawa.

In the interplay between construction and decay, intimate stories unfold – through sound performances, rituals, and diasporic myths. The moon functions as a visual memory of places where racialized and migrant bodies were exposed to threat, while simultaneously becoming a symbol of home, remembrance, and regenerative power.

Everyday objects such as clothes racks are transformed into sonic material, re-appropriated by five performers. In this way, a fragile yet resistant soundscape emerges—one that breaks with Western traditions and opens a space for critical reflection.

Moonsay

The First Appearance of Incessancy was composed for Flutes, Piano and 2 Assistants, who play doors to modify the listening experiences of the audience. The piece is composed for 3 separated scores (Particell) without a final score. The door pieces start always after the music pieces to trying invite acoustical coincidence from outside of the performance. 

This is a trailer of the first part of music. 

As you can listening, the music of first part has a very close spirit like Salvatore Sciarrino, a great composer from Italy. First because Sciarrino has been almost reached the limited of flute techniques and colors in our time. Many from those colors were very close to asian soundscapes — the representative facets of the airs, the spaces of rest, all of this appears in a nature way in his music with gentleness and care. This agreeing without prior consultation between the compositional and cultural experiences was a great lesson to me. The coincidences as a positiv incident in the daily life were always a important part of Chinese culture. To living with uncertainty and to modify those experiences to a good resolution formed the philosophical praxis of Chinese. 

The Appearances of Incessancy is a project according to a poem by German author Daniel Schmidt with tittle „Es könnte ewig dauern“ („This may take forever“). A Text which paid less regard on self controlling and censorship on formality of writing, he was trying to emancipate himself from the chains of morality in current literature, but in the same time through the text reflects himself and east German Society critically.

I use a metaphor from the calligraphy practice in ancient China, in which the people structured the writing of character „infinity“ as the fundamental principe of Calligraphy knowledge. I improve from this idea both of my tonal materials and structure of the music. The writing of „infinity“ is shown in the whole piece without any other additionally materials. 

The premier with video project by Melanie Piroschik will be played  in 15th and 16th January 2016 PM 8.30 at Conservatory of music and Theater in Leipzig, Germany. (Sabine Rufener Flute solo, Marlene Heiss on Piano.)

„Julischnee“ - snow in hot July. After a tragic moment, the icy cold snow in July cools and comforts our restless souls through a soundless requiem. This work relates to a train accident in China and Fukushima nuclear disaster in the year 2011, which the beginning of my critical view of modern technology. I tried to strengthen the emotional side of the catastrophe in my compositional language. I chose the graphic notation and sometimes to the point of unplayability I make offers for the musicians, who then have to find a solution themselves.

„Julischnee“ - Schnee im heißen Juli. Nach einem tragischen Moment kühlt und tröstet der eiskalte Julischnee unsere unruhigen Seelen mittels eines klanglosen Requiems. Diese Arbeit bezieht sich auf ein Zugunglück in China und die Atomkatastrophe von Fukushima im Jahr 2011, die den Beginn meiner kritischen Betrachtung der modernen Technologie darstellen. Die emotionale Seite der Katastrophe versuchte ich in meiner Komposition zu verstärken. Ich wählte die grafische Notation und unterbreite teilweise bis zur Unspielbarkeit Angebote für die Musiker, die dann selbst eine Lösung finden müssen.
