The team members, residents, and friends of Gasoline, a Kyiv-based community radio station created by enthusiasts during the war to build a safe space where Ukrainian artists could express themselves, showcase the ideas promoted by the formation, as well as the diversity of radio broadcasts, through their sets.

Mystictrax is happy to present her latest work, Zabuttya. The central theme is escaping from reality. Because everyone has their own oblivion. It can be love, a hobby, or a computer game. Just something that can help our brain to release the tension, something that can help us to relax. The character of the main track finds her oblivion in the state of dissolving in supernatural transcendental meditation. There is no color, no sound, illusion, pain or remorse. There is only calm. She decides to stay there forever by making a deal with wandering spirits. They offer her a new body of wind and clouds if she never returns to the earth.
The EP consists of 4 tracks, 3 created in collaboration with Ukrainian electronic artists. Those who joined the search for the oblivion: Pymin, Lostlojic, Revshark, Seréen.

Ukrainian Field Notes VA is a fundraising compilation with a difference, music with a backstory that gives a first-hand account of the unfolding events since the full-scale Russian invasion in real time, and presents an overview of the changing face of the Ukrainian music scene dictated by blackouts and curfew restrictions.

What started off as an ongoing series of interviews with Ukrainian artists for the experimental music website A Closer Listen has now become a book comprising all 170 interviews conducted over the course of a year mapping out the electronic and experimental scene in Ukraine.

All musicians involved were asked to submit a track composed after February 24, 2022 to mark its publication. The resulting material reflects the diaristic nature of the book and deals with PTSD, displacement, separation, and loss, and shows at the same time the strength and resilience of Ukrainian artists with a meditative and uplifting reach.

The track listing follows the chronological order of the interviews, switching from ambient and electronic to classical and experimental in a seemingly random fashion, but war is chaotic and shattering, or as Serhii Zhadan writes in Sky Above Kharkiv, “War sharply changes ways of seeing, changes feelings.” Ukrainian Field Notes is a testament to the shifting sonic and human landscape.

Ukrainian Field Notes VA - це благодійна фандрайзінгова компіляція, що відрізняється від інших, музика з передісторією, яка розповідає з перших вуст про події, що розгортаються з моменту повномасштабного російського вторгнення в режимі реального часу, і представляє огляд зміни обличчя української музичної сцени, продиктованої відключенням електроенергії та обмеженнями комендантської години.

Те, що починалося як серія інтерв'ю з українськими музикантами для сайту експериментальної музики A Closer Listen, тепер перетворилося на книгу, що містить усі 170 інтерв'ю, взятих протягом року, які окреслюють електронну та експериментальну сцену в Україні.

Щоб відзначити її публікацію, всім музикантам, які брали участь в інтерв'ю, було запропоновано надіслати трек, написаний після 24 лютого 2022 року. Отриманий матеріал відображає щоденниковий характер книги і стосується ПТСР, переміщення, розлуки та втрати, а також демонструє силу та стійкість українських митців з медитативним та піднесеним звучанням.

Трек-лист відповідає хронологічному порядку інтерв'ю, переходячи від ембієнту та електроніки до класики та експериментальної музики у, здавалося б, випадковий спосіб, але війна є хаотичною та руйнівною, або, як пише Сергій Жадан у "Небі над Харковом", "війна різко змінює способи бачення, змінює почуття". "Ukrainian Field Notes VA" - це свідчення мінливого звукового та людського ландшафту.

4 days before the russian full-scale invasion, my TRS friend and I were invited to play at the «Kick Rivne» event, local musician Mykola Lebed was our guide. We stopped at his place, walked around the city. We were interested in the Hrabnik park, old and almost completely broken, but where you get into a fairy-tale place with architectural structures, surrounded by sculptures from fairy-tales. In the center of the park an empty amphitheater with graffiti «Ahead». I found a large sculpture of a Crocodile, that gave the impression of a mighty dragon watching over us. Then we going to play at the secret place event somewhere in the industrial zone, even the artists were informed of the location only an hour before the start. But what struck me the most was that the next day we got to a party where Gabber and Riddim Dubstep were playing, and how many teenagers enthusiastically danced to this old style music, and so did I. I transferred all these impressions about the trip to music on this album.
