A Brief Moment

This was my 3rd track written and inspired by the Heap! 

Wrote it 3 years ago, it's scruffy and out of tune in places but you gotta love old work, it shows us how much we have grown!
Haven't had chance to build on my inspiration from heapsong1 yet, thought this would be a good start to this (hopefully successful) group!

Air Bound apparitions

From a distance

Writing this at the moment in response to various inspirational sources, Imogen Heaps Inspiration wall, Tsunami in Japan, a few films i've seen recently.

It's not done, It hits its climax but it doesn't have a break down or a big finish yet!

Floods - This weeks work in progress

'De Pilo Pendet' Latin for 'It Hangs by a Hair' meaning something is reaching the critical stages of something. 

This piece moves and reflects the tension before, after and during something and is supposed to capture the feeling of what is happening in Russia and the Ukraine at the moment. 

An orchestral arrangement of this will be coming shortly but for now here's the bare bones of the Piano. Enjoy!!

This was my first composition with my new EWQL software, sounds so nice! Think i'm gona get on with my new vsts fine!

The World Lamented

A cover I did a while ago when I first figured out an arrangmement for it. A beautiful song played fairly well...a tad flat in places! Sorry! 

Here Comes The Flood - Peter Gabriel Acoustic cover

I battled with this one for three days but it's finally done!

This piece is about preferring the spotless memory that you have of someone or something to the reality. We tend to remember and exaggerate the beauty and forget the flaws over time, this piece tries to reflect that.



You Used to be Cloudless

This is the introduction to a short film commission titled Non Compos Mentis. Sound dips etc are there for dialogue.

Ive been teaching synthesis and games units for years and never attempted to write any old school game music. this is my first attempt! enjoy the retroness =D

I may add more but i wanted to keep it simple. 

Into the Pixel Forest

Another 8 bit style piece, a bit more complicated this time, definitely a castle theme I think. The key changes did break my brain after a little while though =D

This is a first draft, rather unmixed, test piece for a film project I'm working on. Excuse the roughness of the sound, It's still not quite there yet!

Ripples

This is a piece written for the ending of The Fisherman's Son, A short film by Milly Amatt and Tom Durcan

The track place is intended to take place at the end of the film where it will run into the credits...If they like it that is!
