We are honored here at Musicis4Lovers.com to be able to host the new remix from Nu and Acid Pauli of Daniel Bortz's beautiful composition, "The Misery feat. Nils Corssen". 

Daniel Bortz isn't a big fan of reckless experiments. A fact that makes this new release even more remarkable: he's breaking his own rule of not having his own tracks remixed.

Needless to say, he didn't just pick anyone to get this job done. His choice fell on some highly esteemed friends and colleagues, resulting in a quite remarkable package.

Acid Pauli and Nu give us their interpretation of “The Misery”, using Nils Corssen´s voice as a hook lead element, never losing the melancholy vibe of the original and still putting it into a rather dancefloor-compatible context.

When i was around 6 my favorite show in Germany was Sesamstrasse. It was a German adaptation of the American Sesame Street. I was really crazy about the show, and I used to always watch it at my Grandparents in Germany.

The intro song was very dear to me. The lyrics went Der Die Das, Wie Weshalb Warum. Which ruffly translates to He She It, How, For what reason, Why.

The intro song spawned this Childish Curiosity in me. I had to explore everything around me. I would bang on lids in the kitchen to hear what they sounded like.

It was this song that made we want to make sounds with different objects, and experiment with early rythms. From this moment on i was engulfed in anything that made a sound.

“healing” begins to open up from the haze that “fog” leaves. The title has a lot of meaning behind this one, laced with distant vocals telling you to “let the healing into your heart”. The track encapsulates the title of the EP, an emotional shift towards happiness, peace of mind, hope, and (some) clarity. This track was written with a lot of personal hardships on CD’s mind from a recent relationship, and always pictured being entranced by it at the end of a long set in the club.
