I LOVE 3181 - 18th January 2024

Live recording of my opening set on Monday the 11th of March 2024, at Esoteric Festival on the Lost Lagoon stage. There were some interesting circumstances involving the stage/lagoon, if you were there you know. Anyways it was the last day of the festival and I was first up, so I thought some nice and easy liquid D&B would help the punters get ready for the final day of fun! Enjoy!

It was also the end of a streak of three near 40 degree days at the festival. I thought we could go a little dirty in the heat.

TECHNO TUESDAY

Second time round at this beautiful party over New Years and it was as amazing if not more than the last! 

Same time slot, just before sunset. Different set. Last year I didn't follow the rules. (Well there are no rules, but I was one of the only ones that didn't play a progressive set at a 'Prog' party). Anyways, this year wasn't without its hiccups. Just tiny minor technical errors. 

But the one massive stuff up at the end was due to the stage manager trying to wipe dust off the CDJ screens. It was really dusty and the equipment was caked with that fine 'Burning Man' dust. He started to wipe the one that I was loading the last track onto. It wasn't playing so nothing happened. Before I could tell him to wait to do the other one, he was already on the other side behind me and as he wiped...he grabbed the waveform at the bottom and dragged it to the start - and the music stopped! I quickly touched roughly the area it was last playing at and hit play, grabbed the platter and wikky wikky we go...

I though about taking out the mistake and just forget about the last track for this upload. Maybe even re-record the set without the 'glitches'. But fuck it! This is the way it went down. This is exactly what everyone there got down to. 

Thank you so much everyone that was there dancing with me. I hope you enjoyed yourselves as much as I did! I love and appreciate you all!
