Followed the original Maskers arrangement from '64/'65 but had to make my own Backing Track (IREALPRO) so it became more of a Rock Version that could use Phil Collins as a drummer. Mixed two played sessions over each other so it got a fuller more spatial sound.

Based on the traditional guitar hit from the jumping jewels. Had to make my own backing track which is totally different van the Jumping Jewels Version. Used the dubbing technique again.

Zuyderzee Blues played once by the jumping jewels. probably written for a big military fanfare. Made a I Real Pro backing track to be able to play this track again. The picture shows my 1st electric guitar. Italian Wandré with a aluminum neck. I think i played this tune for the 1st time on this guitar.

A (somewhat failed) attempt to remake "The Harry Lime Theme" (from the movie "The Third Man"). That was played  in the early 60's by the Indo Rock Band "The Crazy Rockers" from the Hague.  With the Tielman Brothers and the Javalins they were the core of the Dutch Indo Rock bands.

Black Eyes Rock originally by the from Indonesia coming Tielman brothers who initiated in the late fifties in the Netherlands Guitar Rock & Roll and what was later recognized as "indo rock".  I suspect the tune is coming from a German "Schlager" about romantic Gypsie life (Schwarze Augen"). I think I played this song with Robbie en Erno before the Volcanos were initiated. The picture shows my 1st real Dynacord amp.

By Request of Henk Bergervoet. This request was easy to fulfill because i already had the Pete Korving Backing Track. 
I don't think the Volcanos had this beautiful track in their repertoir.
I made this new version because the volume level of the backing track was too low. I think this sounds better.

Genie With The Light Brown Lamp (Shadows)

Dit is een prachtige indo rock traditional ballad over de tropische witte stranden met palmen baai  "Padangbai" op Bali. 
Heeft niets met de Volcanos te maken, heb ik nooit eerder gespeeld maar ben ik aan het oefenen omdat hij op het lijstje met tracks staat dat mijn andere band van 50 jr geleden (The Clarks uit Alphen aan de Rijn)gaat spelen op de 50 jarige bruiloft van bassist Henk met zijn Cinta.
Het prachtige arrangement is van Peter Michiels die ook meespeelt en dit waarschijnlijk een stuk beter doet dan ik hier doe.

Indo Rock klassieker. Nooit gespeeld met the Volcanos. Is 1 van de 9 liedjes die we met the >50 jr bestaande Clarks (Alphen ad Rijn) op de gouden bruiloft van bassist Henk & Cinta zullen spelen. Oefenen geblazen dus.

Peace Pipe originally by the Shadows i think from the Young Ones movie. One of the tunes of  the really old repertoire of the '63/'64 Volcanos. It was fun to play it again after almost 60 years. I was not satisfied 
with the 1st version so i made this new one. The BT quality is not very high by the way.

Find Me A Golden Street (2)

This tune was never played by the Volcanos. But it's a tune that remembers me of the early days of Rock&Roll music that could not be heard on Dutch Radio. I tuned in on the MW band for radio Luxemburg as often as i could to hear new rock and pop music in the radioshow of Chris Howland (a British GI that stayed behind in Germany and became a very popular radio dj). His program started with this tune of Duane Eddy. The tuning had to be very precise and was done with a "green light" on the radio that was located in the living room. I had lo lay down at the floor with my head almost in the speaker to hear al the new USA and UK hits.

Because They're Young (2)

Retired ICTeer who played in an Amsterdam band (The Volcanos) a long time ago and acts as an archivist of all musical memories from this period (see: also:  www.facebook.com/groups/thevolcanos ). In 2017 again bought an electric guitar, a VOX amplifier and a VOX I / O interface with accompanying JAMVOX III software and the playground is open. Try to play the oldest guitar repertoire from 55 years ago. Good to keep the Parkinson's out of my fingers. Fun, but of course not as good as long ago.
