Khruangbin is a three-piece band from Texas, formed of Laura Lee on bass, Mark Speer on guitar, and Donald Johnson on drums. Taking influence from 1960's Thai funk - their name literally translates to "Engine Fly" in Thai - Khruangbin is steeped in the bass heavy, psychedelic sound of their inspiration, Tarantino soundtracks and surf-rock cool. Khruangbin's exotic, individual sound is captured at their spiritual home, a remote barn deep in the Texas countryside where their first rehearsals took place. Debut album ‘The Universe Smiles Upon You’ is scheduled for release at the end of this year.

Back at it once again with some serious dose of heavy funk
We bring to you 'Give It To Ya'. This is a serious no holds barred groovy number that takes its influences from the sounds of James Brown, Cameo, Mandrill and many other funk stars of their time all rolled into one. From the moment the record starts it is sure to get you going. Its 70's porn scene sounding 'whah whah' Bass, Clave and 'Changa Chang' Guitar, you know the the rhythm section is tight and in the pocket. Coupled with great melodic lead lines and sleazy vocal on top, there is not much that can go wrong with this one. Time to dust off those old platform boots and and  bell end jeans because the soul train has certainly come to town!
