Heading from Buenos Aires based in Barcelona, Squaric, has forged his position as a Disc-jockey and producer.

It all started at the end of 2007 when Rodrigo, due to his restless way of living life, organized his first rave in an abandoned gas station, from that moment until today he has been creating different projects and playing around the world non stop.
Squaric sets are filled with powerful and high energy sounds held by well crafted technique, that led him to quickly gain a reputation for blending a wide range of genres, and everything always withTechno sound as the main driver.

Kostas aka @againstmesc is a greek Berlin-based DJ, Producer & co-founder of SOCIETY 3000 and core member of USM Recordings.

The project “AgainstMe” started back in 2017 on his home island Lesvos, Greece and it stands for the continuous fight with ourselves to align our inner voice with our soul and beliefs.

In 2014, at the age of 16 years old, he first discovered his passion for DJing and producing and he did his first steps into the music industry under a different alias in a wider range of electronic music. His music has been released on different labels around the world, but as he was at a very young age, he was still discovering his self and what style of music expresses him the most.

The project “AgainstMe” came to life two years later after his first Rave / Techno parties in Lesvos, Greece.  For him at that point, techno music was something completely new, uniting and revolutionary which was going against everything that he had experienced before. The distorted melodies and the heavy drum patterns along with the ritualistic vibe of these parties made him immediately fall in love with everything around this sound and what it stands for.
 
Since then, his music got released on different record labels around the world. Some of the most important releases during the last years were, his album “Synopsis” in Subsist, “Tension Seeker” in Warok and "Defend" In VOXNOX.

He already enjoyed support from artists like Dax J, DVS1, Rodhad, K-Hand, Mikael Delta, Richie Hawtin, Temudo, Kanding Ray and many more.

For him, the absolute goal of a DJ  is to connect with the crowd and build a unique moment together. So his sound could be characterized as multidimensional, energetic and storytelling. Some of the venues/parties he performed at are RSO, Corsica Studios, QRECLAIM, Astron Bar.

Currently, he is experimenting a lot with Modular Systems and unorthodox techniques in his studio in Berlin.

In the 111th episode of Techno Cartel Podcast we are pleased to host Mode_1.

Mode_1 is a techno producer and DJ and a resident for one of the most consistent collectives in Dublin, Subject. He produces clean and powerful peak time techno and his DJ sets would be best described as fast and trippy with a groove. As a Subject resident, he plays regularly at two of the city’s best venues, District 8 and Index as well as festivals such as Life Festival, Electric Picnic and Boxed Off.

At the beginning of 2018, Mode_1 had his track “Oíche” featured on Berghain residentFiedel’s Double Mixpack EP, Appendix, which also featured tracks from Jay Clarke, Ron Albrecht, Noncompliant and Philippe Petit.

In January 2019, he contributed his track “Twenty7” for a collectors’ edition vinyl commemorating the closure of the infamous District 8, alongside producers Tinfoil, Hybrasil and Moduse. It was an exciting year for the artist, as he then released his debut E.P “Final Approach” on French label Knotweed and later featured his track “Return” on Fiedel’s new label Super Sound Tool.

2020 saw Mode_1 back on Knotweed with his EP “Mainframe” and on Fiedel’s label Fiedel Two with the ‘4x4 Series Pt1’ EP. He was featured on Truncate’s ‘Missing’ remix compilation and his EP ‘’Pusher’’ was released on the legendary label, Naked LunchRecords.

In 2021, Mode_1 released the first EP on his own label, M1M series with M1M_001 and later in the year with M1M_002.Having remixed Vinicius Honorio’s track ‘Hideous’ for hisl abel Liberta Records and his track ‘Six10’ featured on the VA compilation of Insolate label Out of Place Records. 
In march of 2021, he returned to Knotweed with his EP ‘Movements’

2022 started off strong with his fourth release on Knotweed, as well as releases on Prophecy Records and his third instalment of his M1M series.In 2023 he made his debut in Berlin’s AVA Club, Suicide club and Ostra Club in France as well as releasing tracks on two VA's for RLSD and Reverse VA01.
