Monochrome presents, Automne II : Dorian Gray (Dj Set), Dorian.

This autumn, Monochrome is offering each month to one or several artists to discover their influences and inspirations through a forty-five minute to two hour recording. These three recordings will focus on Ambient, IDM and Dub-Techno.

Artist biography :

Dorian Gray is the reflective persona of the Italian producer and DJ, Moreno Mariotti. His productions formulate a refined deep and ambient atmosphere, cleverly connected to his interests beyond music. Trance rhythms, detailed ambient pads, and intervening acidic loops shape Dorian’s signature sound and provide a clear glance at this artist’s inspirational flow and intricate creative process. His work appeared on labels such as The Gods Planet, Space Trax, Informa Records and many others. In 2020 he launched his new label DORIAN.

Sound researcher in the studio, chaos creator on the dancefloor our next podcast comes from @d-leria aka Giuseppe who started his DJ carrier over 20 years ago in 2001. In the early stages, he was focused on playing Hardcore, achieving international success, and playing at performing at major festival lineups. In 2014 he encountered a new and unfamiliar sound realizing that this was what he had long been desiring. D-Leria was born from this experimentation and started a whole new journey. At first, he began releasing independent EP's that developed the intentions of his very own label called Delirio. Artists such as Stanislav Tolkackev, Simone Giudice, Retina.it, Key Clef, and more were all hosted on several occasions on his label; all there to spread the same message, hard groove on vinyl. In September 2017 he moved to Berlin to find new ideas and to develop his album "Driving to Nowhere" which took him five years but became his most memorable work yet. The sound immediately gained the attention of many artists such as Shifted, Donato Dozzy, Svreca, Neel, Marco Shuttle, Reeko, Psyk, Refracted, and many more. Furthermore, this paved the way for his later recordings on labels such as Avian, Semantica, Non Series, Camera Magmatica, Aura Dinamica, and more which have given him international recognition for D-Leria.

Mary’s outputs, no matter what form they take, all radiate with her deeply rooted love for electronic music - a scene to which her contribution cannot be underestimated.

Ryogo Yamamori has been involved in techno since the late 90’s. Since he has released tracks from respected labels, notably Josh Wink's label Ovum - Trinity EP, got charted in 58th on Beatport's Techno which made worldwide selling. Ryogo’s « Journey » was released from his label “951beat” and 40th with Resident Advisor and featured from DJ Mag, XLR8R, BBC RADIO1, Orb, Monument, After having collaborated in Detroit Movement's official compilation, he has received offers from Ovum, Secession, Human Lessons, Epione Records, Katharsis, Ovunqve, Machine to just name a few. Separating herself as a DJ in an increasingly competitive industry, RENA leaped into the notable territory through persistent work ethic and cerebral curations. From Greece, RENA’s journey started locally - offering extensive experience to develop her technical and programming skills. Capitalizing on subgenres ranging from dub and deep techno, to driving and raw, RENA surfaces a variety of flavors within, oftentimes including arpeggio accents, emotion-invocation, and heavy atmospherics.

RENA carries her selective taste into MNMT 329, bringing listeners an array of hidden gems. With each track emphasizing an element of its own, some share driving “bleeps and bloops”, deep drones, and arpeggios to drive the hour forward.

RENA has been heard playing at acclaimed international venues alongside seasoned artists such as Oscar Mulero, Sebastian Mullaert, Dasha Rush, Len Faki, and Ben Sims. Currently, RENA is resident to the semi-weekly show on Cannibal Radio, “un\common route’.”
