Monotasking is the new Multitasking

Today we dive into the negatives of multitasking & learn about how monotasking is much more effective and productive than multitasking will ever be. Four productivity tools are also highlighted to help us stay focused on what we want to accomplish throughout the day.

Actionable Tips:
* Optimize your work environment by clearing out both the physical and digital clutter, and making distractions harder to use
* 2 apps & 2 browser extensions you can use to lessen your time on distracting websites when you want to focus: Forest, StayFocused, Mindful Browsing, Focus Keeper
* If you’re not an app person, you can: (1) Limit your time on these sites by setting up specific times to check them and (2) Create your own schedule with blocks of time dedicated to doing work. The visual will show you your intentions for the day and set guidelines on how your day will progress 

Remember to take plenty of rest breaks to refuel and refocus throughout your day!

The Myth Of Multitasking

In this episode, we talk about all the emotions experienced during our time in quarantine and some silver linings that came of it. 
We answer the following questions: What is a silver lining, what does it do, and how can you find one in difficult trying times?

How do you find the silver lining in situations that seem out of your control?
    * 1) Retrain your brain to use positive language 
    * 2) Take a chance to re-evaluate and restructure your life
    * 3) Be grateful for what you have; have an attitude of gratitude. Make it a habit to be thankful and to express appreciation in all parts of your life, no matter how big or small they seemingly are

Silver Linings In Our New Normal

What you do during the first hour of your day directly influences and sets the tone for how the rest of your day may go. Try to build a habit of not checking your devices for the first hour of your day. By doing this, you can begin your day in the here & now, with a positive focus, and in a place of inner peace and control. If you start your day with intention, it sets your productivity for the rest of the day.

We also talk about 4 strategies for reducing your screen time during this digital age of information over-consumption: 
1) Build a schedule
2) Set a timer
3) Make a list of things to do that don’t involve electronics
4) Create phone-free spaces

Not Your Typical Quarantine Weekend

Is the purpose in life just to go through life and have fun? How can one find happiness? 

A big part of being happy is becoming the person that you wish to be, which can be achieved by setting goals and accomplishing them, in order to help us become the best version of ourselves, while lifting others up along the way.

Eunji is an elementary school teacher, music producer, and singer songwriter. We reminisce about high school days and our 13 year friendship, and discuss the switch from teaching in the classroom to remote teaching during the pandemic. eunj also takes us through her process of analyzing songs instrumentally (with 2 examples during the episode). Hustle And Bustle with The Zealous Theory

What is the Law of Attraction, why does it work, what are some manifestation habits to achieve our goals and desires, and how do we use it effectively? In this episode, I talk about how limiting beliefs hold us back in life and from being our best selves, as well as how to use the “Act as if” method and repeat positive affirmations in the present tense as ways to manifest your dream life.

1. The energy you put out (consisting of your beliefs, feelings, thoughts, words, and actions), determines the feedback you receive. Your thoughts have so much influence in creating your reality.

7. Take action, put the work in, and be a collaborator with the universe in bringing you new opportunities and connections in life.
