Injuries is the first single from Naarm-based multi-instrumentalist and producer Happy Axe’s third full length album, The Tiger Dream. 
The self-produced ambient/experimental pop piece represents an exploration of emotional wounds and how they manifest in relationships and collide with one another. Often times these wounds stay open when neither person feels strong enough to take steps towards healing, but sometimes reflection shows that healing has already been happening at a pace too slow to be perceived.
Happy Axe’s gentle vocals and poignant violin carry the listener through this heavy territory with grace, leaving a sense of melancholy with a rush of hope. 
The Tiger Dream LP releases in full on Provenance and Ghost Mountain Records on October 27.
