This is a song that was written as a cry within myself for help. I turned to music to be my catharsis. I have since found that true healing has to come from a deeper place. This song basically my rendition of Lost Here by Synkro and Robert Manos. The subtle purity and positive intention helped me to see light through the darkness. It inspired me to start finding the same light within my own creation but still used an external formula and external means. I am grateful for Synkro and to myself for providing this outlet. I am thankful that my path has led me to look even deeper within myself so that I can share even purer healing to the outside world.

This track was written as I struggled with a situation out of my control. A friend whom I had tried so hard to empower ended up behind bars for a crime that I couldn't even fathom. The outcome of the case is not known to me at this time, but he had convinced me that he was innocent, and I seemed to be the only one that believed him. To this day, I'm not sure what happened, and I plan to find out sooner or later. But, up to this point, I had to take a step back from trying to save him from the tragic entanglement of our justice system. I was being emotionally and financially drained fighting a case that had no clear end and became even more unclear the deeper I dug into it. I have my regrets about how I handled the situation and prayers for his wellbeing. But ultimately, I gained equipoise and wisdom about the conservation of my own energy as well as a glimpse into the life of utter confinement.

case dismissed

In the midst of clinging to my attachments after already deciding that I didn't need them, I wrote this song to try and communicate my sincerity to a long-term partner that was transitioning out of my life. I blamed myself for being in the dark about my true intentions and was met with even further shame and disappointment. I tried to explain that I had discovered my deeper desires to be with her but would be ok either way. Now I have learned that the mind has a way of resisting change even though change is inevitable. This resistance is the only reason for any suffering because if we were to accept the present moment as it is, there would be no craving for anything outside of what is right in front of you. There is beautiful wonder around you and within you at every moment, but the mind's capacity to look to the past can make us think that something has gone wrong. Luckily, we are able to tap into that same capacity to see the full picture of past, present, and future all wrapped into each moment. With this higher understanding, we can look at everything as it is with a calm appreciation for the beautiful fluctuations of life.
