Who am I?

My eyes were closed until I woke up,
Who am I supposed to be? 
What am I supposed to see? 
Like a clown I wore make up, 
Hide the real me,
Scared of being free. 

And now, I crash, right through my ego,
As I break through the other side,
My flesh, it melts, my skin, turns gold
Before my eyes, as i look into the light

Nothing matters in the long run,
What are you gonna do? 
Can’t you speak the truth? 
All has happened once before now, 
A cycle back to me, 
Spontaneity 

And now, I see, myself in the broken mirror lake, my insecurities. 
The mask, it slips, and lands before the lord of time, and all that hasn’t been, 

I am crying,
Am I dying? 
I lay lying, the world she consumes me.
As I’m falling,
I am calling,
And I’m crawling, toward this voice that guides me. 

Judge me for I am my own maker, 
help me understand, 
This distant foreign land,
as I grew older, I grew faker. 
I can’t comprehend,
How am I supposed to mend? 

But now, I ask, you all, is it sacred to see, whats far beyond this world? 
A breath of love, and calm, a sigh of disbelief.

A place you can be. 
A place where you can be

A place where you can feel. 

And remember, you’re just a human, 
And you’re just trying your best, 
And if you’re anything like me and you struggle in this world,
