2013 marks a decade of Y-3 and its pioneering sport-style aesthetic—a look that continues to meld the avant-garde genius of Yohji Yamamoto with the breakthrough innovation of adidas. adidas is pleased to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Y-3 with a compilation album in collaboration with Alex Prat aka Alex from Tokyo (Tokyo Black Star, World Famous NYC) and 14 innovative electronic music producers, with CD and vinyl sets specially packaged with artwork by PL Studio.

Y-3 presaged the contemporary obsession with designer athletic wear by being the first to blur the boundaries of style and sport. The music on this compilation achieves a similar balance, bringing together dance music icons as well as fresh faces from the world of underground house and disco.

The esteemed contributors include Frank Wiedemann, one half of acclaimed duo Âme and co-founder of Berlin-based label Innervisions. Eccentric and reclusive maven Maurice Fulton makes a rare appearance, along with legendarily diverse New York DJ Joaquin "Joe" Claussell of the famed Body & Soul parties as well as Chicago house pioneer Larry Heard. Rub-N-Tug are a boisterous New York duo, and here they slot next to Jules Etienne's collaboration with disco purist Daniel Wang, founder of Balihu Records
Other artists on the compilation include Blackjoy, responsible for Parisian sci-fi disco, prolific Japanese producer Kaoru Inoue aka Chari Chari, Irish house heavyweight Mano Le tough, and Jiro Amimoto, who has produced the music at previous Y-3 runway shows. Discodromo, who heads up one of Berlin's top gay alternative parties Cocktail D'Amore, collaborates here with Italian Massimiliano Pagliara, a longtime resident at Frankfurt's Robert Johnson nightclub. Alex from Tokyo pulls double-duty, contributing a track from his and Isao Kumano's Tokyo Black Star project as well as mixing the CD version of the release. Rounding out the mix is anonymous Scottish producer Lord of the Isles and Quiet Village, featuring Matt "Radio Slave" Edwards.

The Y-3 compilation will be released in mid-September via the Y-3 website, retail stores, and social media outlets. The compilation will be available on CD with the tracks both mixed continuously or unmixed, along with 500 special-edition vinyl box sets and free digital downloads.

From slate-grey skies and industrial scenery, a Berlin portrait captures Daniel Helmstedt in "Luv / Lee". Majestic piano sequences sweep gently across a melodic landscape coalescing in sonic clouds that shift and transform. Rhythmic foundations criss-cross in regular patterns hewn into the mountainside in sweeping juxtaposition, while glassy synth phrasing glistens on ocean waves. Distorted patterns create a new cadence wrapped in emotive passages that cut through in bristling, sparkling formations.

A returning visitor, Haen reimagines "Lee" through a new lens where the Isle of Skye represents a magnificent sonic vision. Familiar motifs float across rocky percussive outcrops where violin passages permeate the lush verdant landscape and pulsating waves crash against the shoreline in elemental force. Meeting Molly and Mango forge a new friendship where subtle textures and reversed fragments crystalise into new sonic shards. A fluid, ever-changing scenery shimmers in melodic counterpoint and incongruent effects add a touch of intrigue. "Luv" takes a new form courtesy of Djimboh where memorable syncopation creates innovation and aural prowess. Delicate new shapes form a recognisable configuration in the path ahead and subterranean basslines emerge from the depths of the earth to steer a new route across the mountainside.

Audera

Dj and music producer from the east coast of Italy.  
He spent most of his early years collecting records, performing in clubs and planning underground events.

In 2014, driven by his constant need for experimentation and new influences, he found in San Francisco (CA) his new home. Immersed in the vibrant atmosphere of the Bay Area, he soon started performing in well known clubs and venues.

The diverse musical awareness he has achieved throughout the years becomes evident in the great care he takes over harmonies and melodic structures.

His style sits somewhere between house and techno, nurturing a sound which is driving and groovy, but with greater emotional range. It just can’t be placed in one genre, although it connects to many.

The ruins date back to hellenistic era approximately 300 BC. Cicero describes Olympos as a city full of wealth and art.
Olympos is not only a city and a mountain but also home to Chimera a mythical creature with the head of a lion, the body of a goat, and the tail of a snake. 


The coast around Olympos is one of the loveliest spots in all of Turkey and home to a wide range of flora and fauna.
Qualista aims to introduce its environment and cultural heritage to the world through music under the name of ‘Stairs to Olympos’ as a social responsibility.

BIO 

Audera is a dj, music producer and sound engineer based in Ibiza (ES).

He’s involved in some of the best parties of the island such as “Namasté” at the historic “Las Dalias”, “Woomoon at “Cova Santa” and "Masaka", not mentioning his regular appearances as a dj at Pacha and Akasha.

His career started at the early age of 16, when he began spinning vinyls in different venues of his hometown, Ancona, where in 2009 he also funded his own collective to plan events and underground parties.

Constantly searching for new sounds and pushed by the desire to transform his emotions into music, Audera released his first 3 track EP “Endless Love” on Aki Bergen & Richter’s “Neurotraxx Recordings” in May 2018.

The following years have seen Audera releasing both originals and remixes on a number of internationally acclaimed labels, such as Alex Niggeman’s “AEON Audio”, the Istanbul based “Harabe”, “Natura Viva”, “Woods Limited” to name a few.

The diverse musical awareness he has achieved throughout the years becomes evident in the great care he takes over harmonies and melodic structures.

His style sits somewhere between progressive and melodic house, nurturing a sound which is driving and groovy, but with greater emotional range.
 It just can’t be placed in one genre, although it connects to many.
