This song views one's life through a broken mirror. When it shatters, it gets messy, and many of us feel we don't have the time to pick up the pieces.

Shattered Glass (Demo)

This song follows a soldier in the middle of a war contemplating the morality of his cause. It has two parts. 

In the first part, he wonders if his enemies are truly evil like he's been told or if they're simply human beings with complex emotions like himself. 

In the second half, he silences his doubt and reverts to back his aggressive behavior. The title 'Laid to Rest' refers to the soldier laying waste to both his enemies and his own non-conforming idealisms. 

This is not an anti-war song. It is simply a story.
