Your usual night on mumble with Starfall, KMS, Conreppin, Zeekill, and Ryan. At some point Starfall discovers that Brian Krebs had published an article about the WebNic Registrar breach which LizardSquad did but with the only exception being that Brian had included a blurb depicting both Starfall and KMS as the “hackers” who performed the attack. 

Brian failed to understand that the rootkit was developed primarily by two former members of HTP, Starfall and KMS. Zeekill had just gotten out of prison not two months prior and wasn’t even involved with this attack… 

So essentially Brian didn’t make it clear that it was indeed their rootkit, but it was LizardSquad who used an injection vulnerability within webnic.cc to upload their rootkit to the registrars hosting and obtain auth codes aka “EPP” transfer codes, and then ultimately control the dns configuration for Lenovo and Google Vietnam.
