The Cologne based DJ Sic Electronica stands for a bright variety of electrifying tracks, exploring the spheres of  Electro, Tronic Acid and Detroid based High-Tech-Soul.
His sets are characterized by punching and groovy electro tracks, which can have a beat-heavy dark and industrial character as well as harmonic and deep moods, often in combination with som serious acid tunes.
This is a tronic retrosepctive to 2022 featuring tracks from DVS NME, Carl Finlow, Stanny Abram, Zeta Reticula, Ben Pest, Christian Smith, Mariska Neerman and of course Wibo Lammerts aka W1b0 who sadly passed away this year.

'In my HOUSE I am pleasantly disturbed’ - Miss Mana started as one of the first female dj’s in the early 90’s in the Netherlands and abroad. She then was booked at festivals, raves, clubs and party's with among other dj’s as dj Isaac, Lady Dana and Paul Elstak and best known then as Lady Nightshade. Nowaday’s she is still going strong as a Mam of three, and as a respected and versatile producer, dj, resident and host of her own radioshow.

Miss Mana's music is supported by Jaydee, Robert Armani, Van Czar, Waffensupermarkt and many others.

Terminamos el mes de febrero de gala con una sesión llegada por los designios del destino. Un vecino carabanchelero de Kintsugi tenía que ser. Coleccionista de vinilos desde que era adolescente, comenzó montando raves en la sierra en el ‘96 con su colectivo RC899. Participó activamente en la producción de las míticas raves de Barajas (2001-2003), ayudando a conformar y dar el protagonismo que merecía a la incipiente escena de colectivos de la época.

En 2003 monta junto a Miguel Guirado (Substuff) el grupo de humor electrónico Blue Vulva & The Electronic Crooner haciendo bailar y reír al público durante los 15 años que estuvieron en activo. 

En su faceta de Dj aprovecha su extensa colección de discos para abordar casi cualquier estilo adoptando el nombre de Speederman para las sesiones más rápidas y Speven Stielberg para las más “calmadas” como puede ser la de este podcast número 80 para Kintsugi.

Blending acid-strewn Electro with twisted Wave and vocal allure, as the title suggests, the track is a dark mysterious exploration of desire and temptation, imbued with feelings of anxiety and danger throughout, instigated by a dance-inducing foundation of obsessively resonant scattered snare beats along with the mechanical shakings of humming low ends, pierced by desolate, shivering icy synths and neurotic squelchy acid lines, through a gripping build-up layering of hot and cold, fast and slow, also heavy and thin frequencies, interpolated twice with calm bewitching female spoken words swathed in reverb, inviting others to join in the “Devil’s Dance” using magnetic persuasion.

When Rotterdam-based, UK-born DJ/producer Birds (real name Katie Wilkinson) began putting together the tracks for her debut album, she realised that there was an ongoing theme to the vocal lines; they all were related to either being at, leaving or returning to some form of ‘home’, most likely because she made the move from The UK to The Netherlands less than 6 months before and was still going through the traumatising visa process. This led her to think about the philosophical question of what exactly is home. The album explores these themes.
Genre wise, the album is a deep dive into Birds’ Bass, Breaks and Electro-inspired influences with the occasional signature fuzzy guitar hook reminiscent of her earlier dark-wave material peppered in.

Straddling her self-propelled one-woman rocket ship from the heart of The Silver Globe, Mancunian/Liverpudlian earthling Jane Weaver keeps a steady foot in both the kosmische synth scape domain as well as the cinematic funk camp to bring you her new cosmic pop single Mission Desire. 

As a standout track from one of the most critically acclaimed albums to bridge 2014/2015 (the self produced and auto-promoted LP The Silver Globe), Jane’s unique blend of European comic book pop conjures images of Gallic sci-fi sets and futurist discotheques epitomised in Mission Desire as a wholly unique slice of growling synth driven melodic silicon pop.

Having garnered widespread critical support, winning Piccadilly Records Album Of The Year award (a sentiment shared by countless discerning record buyers, mixtape DJs, live promoters and radio hosts) unanimous praise for Jane’s long-running dedication as an independent female artist has won her a full calendars worth of gig fixtures, a queue of eager collaborators and a deserved reappraisal of a treasure trove back catalog.

Mission Desire is released as a digital download as well as part of a forthcoming 45rpm split single with Cardiff’s Tender Prey (Cate Le Bon/Sweet Baboo affiliate) who shares release schedules on Jane’s very own femme-pop label Bird Records (in conjunction with Finders Keepers Records). Recorded in Manchester, Mission Desire showcases Jane alone at the front of the mixing desk from an album that includes appearances from Atari music composer Suzanne Ciani, David Homes, Hawkwind and Andy Votel. With a strong comic book aesthetic the track Mission Desire also appears on a trailer for Jane’s favourite 60s French cartoon Marie Mathematique (the baby sister of Barbarella) that combined memories of scopiotone pop video and a dream homage in this unique creative exchange.

A recent addition of ten new bonus tracks to The Silver Globe (special edition) coupled with looming festival dates – connecting Glastonbury, Green Man, Latitude, Festival No 6 (as well as increasing international fixtures) – Jane Weaver’s global mission continues to gather glowing momentum with little sign of deceleration.
