One of my favorite songs of 2018! The cover style was heavily influenced by their Spotify Sessions version of the song.

Bambi - Hippo Campus (Acoustic Cover)

Used this cover as an opportunity to experiment with delay.  Also decided to incorporate a few things in the background in hopes to improve the overall perceived quality of the track.  

I would have spent more time on this cover's production (same with the other covers) but given various time constraints I'm forced to release tracks that are unfinished in my eyes (or I'd never release anything).  Just doing this for fun and hoping that anyone who ends up listening enjoys what they hear!

Superposition - Young The Giant (Acoustic Cover)

Finally got a decent condenser for recording guitar and vocals... Pretty proud of how this one turned out - definitely much higher quality than the others before it.  Hope you enjoy!

Don't Panic - Coldplay (Acoustic Cover)

Ben Folds has always been my idol for as long as I can remember.  When I was in middle school, I bought myself my very first digital keyboard and made it my mission to learn every single one of Ben Folds' songs by ear...Safe to say I'm about 90% complete 9 years later...This song was quite daunting for 14 year old me, but eventually I learned it and it soon became one of my favorites to play.  ~9 years later, I still remember it. This is one of my favorites songs from "Rockin' The Suburbs". I even decided to break out the ol' Cello for this one - haven't played in years so don't judge...Hope you enjoy!

Carrying Cathy - Ben Folds (Acoustic Cover)

This is quite the departure from what I'm used to doing.  Post Malone is one of my favorite artists and I wanted to pick a song of his that would easily translate into the sound/style I'm used to producing; "Circles" seemed like the best choice.  Got to experiment with a lot of different plugins and learned a lot - hope you enjoy!

This track is clearly a huge departure from what I usually post (acoustic covers) - I have always been interesting in electronic music and wanted to dive in head first.  This is one of the first tracks I have created using the OP1 and had an absolute blast producing it.  This genre is foreign to me so I used this song as an opportunity to try a lot of different techniques.  Hope you enjoy it!

OP.Canaan

This song has been sitting in my project folder for a while now. Let me break down where I got the inspiration from...

I was talking to one of my friends on Discord about my newly acquired OP1, and he happened to say "You're going to be lying in bed tonight thinking, 'what else could I sample? I could sample like...forks?'"

...little did he know, I was sampling him saying that exact sentence. SO, I decided to make a song around that sentence (and of course I went to my kitchen and sampled some forks to form the beat...)

OP.Forks

Been a while since I've done a cover, and of course I gravitate towards Coldplay again...This is off of their newest album and it's been stuck in my head for weeks. Not much else to do during lock-downs, so expect more from me in the near future! Put a lot of effort into this mix, proud of how it came out.

Cry Cry Cry - Coldplay (Cover)

This song has been stuck in my head since the day the live version was put on YouTube.  I initially wanted to do an acoustic cover of it, but decided to take a stab at synthesis for the first time.  My wavetable synthesizer plugin of choice happened to be Serum, which I have learned is. extremely. powerful.  I have been having countless hours of fun sound designing from scratch, and am very pleased with the sounds I was able to cook up for the cover.  Hope you enjoy!

We Burn (Faster Than Light) - Avicii [Cover]

My roommate introduced me to Demon Slayer back in January, 2021 and I was immediately hooked.  Anybody who watches the show will recognize the haunting vocal melody present in the OST Demon Smell (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U7yDwWyHu4E).  During the show, whenever this melody was heard in the background, we would jokingly sing it at the top of our lungs.  I then said that it would be funny if I decided to make a song using only that vocal sample... I stayed up until 4AM that night working on a rough mix and here we are now... 

This mix started as a joke but slowly turned into something I was proud of.  Hope you enjoy listening to it as much as I enjoyed mixing it :D
