Baltimore’s Wildhoney have been making music together since 2011, forging a fresh sound from raw materials of shoegaze, punk and good old indiepop. 2015 saw the release of their debut LP and follow-up EP, and now we’ve snagged two top-quality exclusive tunes for this compilation.

The band explains: "'Horror Movie' weaves dark lyrical content with an upbeat tempo and cheerful pop melody, reflecting the experience of trying to process trauma without the luxury of time and space to fall apart. The song also evokes a sense of triumph upon arriving at a point of clarity, resisting the ongoing, relentless urge to blame oneself for an abusive relationship, and coming out on the other side stronger and wiser than before."

Apophenia was actually made while we were in different places. Joe made the instrumental and I sang the melody. It was one of the most organic collaborations on the EP. Joe proposed the title, Apophenia, which is defined as the perception of connections and meaningfulness from things that are in fact unrelated. Funny, as both of us are constantly drawing connections and meaning from our surroundings - sonically and physically. We're learning this day-to-day, but you don't make the real connections until long after the fact - finding that the unassuming go hand in hand.
